Expect to see twin turbo 4cyl. engines that will develop in excess of 350hp and run on a spoonful of gas.
Well, DFI's V6 in today's E350 and V8 in your '04 SL500 and my '03 SL500 all have 302 HP. But the '03 SL500 (that I still have since new) with 332 lbs-tq is so much quicker off the line and at freeway's passing (while being heavier) than my '12 E350 DFI with only 273 lbs-tq. That old V8 in that heavy car can still push me back into my seat at times, while current V6 in my E350 sedan cannot.
