E colors-white, diamond white, ind grey?
anybody have a pic of diamond white vehicle next to regular white?
Is the difference very big, is diamond worth the $$ ?
Does Diamond White show dirt more than regular white, is it practical here in MN with our dirty/salty winters?
Also, can anyone describe Indium Grey? Is it pure dark grey or does it have other tones in it?
Also, any pics of Chestnut Brown leather seats??
Thanks

indium grey is a nice colour. i've seen a couple of E350s in it. it's not really grey, though. it's more of a dark copper. i used to have an Infiniti in a similar colour (they called it 'umbria grey') and really liked it. it will hide the dust & dirt a lot better than any white.

I usually wouldn't pick brown but it was decent.
I'm leaning toward Artic White E Wagon with either:
- Black interior. I love black but wish it had another color accent with it. Int looks like it's all black with the burlwood.
- Natural Beige with some black. Anybody have this??? It requires leather. I like that picture shows door panel with the beige plus some black plus the burlwood. I have Ash (light grey) leather in my ML and haven't had issues with any staining etc on the light color. 2005 ML and the leather looks brand new.
- dealer had one with Chestnut Brown leather (dark brown). What's the story on that as it's not in the E brochure??

Edit: Damn MBWorld and the 800x600 maximum size.

Are you referring to iridium silver (the classic MB silver color) or indium grey (the color that everybody else is referring to here)?
Maybe we can guess and see who gets it right? (no, seriously)
My guesses (L to R, starting at the top):
Palladium grey, indium grey, diamond white, iridum silver, steel grey, and regular non-metallic white?
In a typical dealership lighting, it is a somewhat richer, deeper white, a somewhat yellower appearance, and the metallic fleck is not too obvious.
In sunlight, in my experience, the metallic fleck and depth of the paint really comes out.
Thus the question: Is Diamond White worth it? The answer: It depends on the buyer.

I bought it. Once I had seen it twice, indoor and out, I insisted on it.
(and I might add, I seriously doubt that a photograph could reliably show the difference)
Iridium silver is a very nice color , I like darkers but this one is an exception .No other rides look as good as this color in a MB namely present models
I have realized that indium is nothing new to me because I saw a car in person with that color but they called it differently
. So, thanks to this color chart things are straightened out lol Back to the topic , my choice but this is really really though :
1-Tenorite (Marcus's ride what I mean in my earlier post)
2-Palladium
3-Indium
4-Palladium

However, I think the hue's of Arctic White vary greatly. For example, my 2010 E had a strong cream-yellow hue, and I'd notice it a lot when I'd park next to other M-B's that were Arctic White. Then when I got my 2011, I had my 2010 and 2011 parked next to each other, and the 2011 appeared much whiter.
Arctic is definitely a creamy-yellowy white (it's done on purpose as to provide some warmth and "depth", which is noticeable in extra richness when you park next to a generic Honda/Toyota/Nissan/etc. which are always very bright WHITE white) however.
Maybe Arctic White's are prone to getting more "yellow-y" as time goes on? I'd be curious to know why they vary so much in yellow hue.
I love Diamond White, but one big knock to them VS flat (Arctic) White, is durability, how easily it looks dirty in comparison, and MUCH harder to color match if it gets damaged (flat white is very easy to color match).
If I have a choice, and didn't have to pay more for it, I'll take Diamond and not look back, but I might drive myself crazy as to how paranoid paint damage would make me (not as concerned now as I would be with many other colors). However, I personally wouldn't pay extra for Diamond White.... at least not yet.... once I pull my car next to a D.W car, I might be singing to a different tune.
