i have yet used the hangers. isn't it too high for grocery bags? the bags will swing around inside the trunk while you are driving, right ?

The only time I need the crates is for shopping at Costco or Sam's Club where they don't provide bags.

The hangers work well for the plastic store bags. I've not found them to swing around at all. That was my concern at first, too, but they work just fine.

I bought the mercedes net that goes across the opening of the car trunk. It opens so you can carry things safely without them rolling around. I have found it invaluable when carrying a shaving cream can, a soda can or similar....because that's about the largest item you can get into the net.
In other words....it's a complete waste of money.....

Majority choose OEM floor net (80 in diagram and shown in catalog) part # 2128680074 and/or rear loading edge (90) 2128680174 - MSRP $57 each, to comparison-shop parts.com $46.80 see if dealer will match or better.

maybe i didn't buy enough so the plastic bags weren't big/long enough but i'll give it a try next time. i use the crates for costco and sam's as well along w/a small samsonite collapsible hand truck. stack them up and tie w/a bungee cord. works perfect.
i can't find that on home depot nor lowe's sites. but here is the old thread and i put the sku number there.

i don't have a garage like most of the members here. i live in a condo. so taking out the bins, move them up to my place, grab my golf bag down, move my golf bag up when done w/golf, take the bins back and reattach them. wow, lots of works for me .

I have the nets on the ML which are very needed. The E-class had the "comfort box" installed from the factory (contemplated having them remove it as $3xx seems excessive) but must say its been pretty useful and seems pretty durable so far. Just seems still pretty over-engineered for the purpose it serves. Best trunk I've had was an '07 S80 volvo which has a sturdy bord the flipped up to basically block off the back half of the trunk (could still leave anything you wanted back there) so it was like having a "small" trunk and the board had an elastic strap to secure items with. Even in the small section I could fit 2 20" roll a boards lol.

Couple of years ago I got a collapsible fabric carrier from Target for $10. They displayed with other Christmas stuff for cars and show up every year. May still have some in auto section. Works great. Has dividers to make three different compartments.
Interestingly, Toyota and Hyundai either provide useable cargo nets as standard equipment or cheap dealer options. Vehicles are manufactured with four hooks in place to hold them.

The Convenience box looks very useful. It rolls up out of the way when you don't need it. From the accessories catalogue "A practical option for storing objects in the trunk. The rail system means that when it is not in use, it can be slid beneath the parcel shelf to save space"

We set three across the trunk, so they can't move sideways.
When loaded, they pretty much settle into the carpet and don't move around.
Of course, if you have to slam on the brakes 'cause you were texting and had a good exchange that got you ROFL, and the Tundra just wouldn't move out of your way, then the crates will slam into the front wall of the trunk. Big deal; the Jack Daniels will stay in the crate. The Brussels Sprouts will fly out, but that's OK -- you didn't need those.
