Please help on pricing!!!
Please help on pricing!!!
Hello all, this is my first post and I have found this site very informative. I have been looking for info on pricing on a 2012 MB e350 4-matic luxury model.
A good friend of mine is ready to pull the trigger, but I do not believe he is getting a very good deal. Please tell me you thoughts and recommendations on any reputable dealerships in the Midwest. We are located in Cincinnati, Oh.
I have seen some of the affiliate programs but, besides the Conquest cash, I don't believe my friend qualifies for any other programs such as USAA or MB Club of America (I believe you have to be a member for a year to get any discount).
Anyways below is the deal that has been offered:
Thanks again for stopping in today. It was a pleasure meeting you, and hopefully we can call you an owner! I went through the finance vs. lease numbers again for you. If you are to finance the car, I can sell it for $57,553 plus the Conquest cash of $3k would take it to $54,553. Since the conquest comes off after taxes, your sale price would be $58,585.20.
If you were to lease the car for 33 months at 15k miles per year, including maintenance, taxes, and conquest, your payment would be $799 per month. Your out of pocket would be @ $1300 due at signing which includes first months payment.
Any advice you guys have is much appreciated! He is willing to lease or buy, but wants to get a good deal.
Thanks,
Kevin

hi
Hi and welcome,
for meaningful answers we will need to know the MSRP and the invoice would be helpful too, if you/he have checked that out.
Then folks can comment on $57,553--if that's a good deal or not. The lease payment is the second part.

I know of a guy who just Leased a 2012 E350 (probably P1 and lightly equipped) for $700 (might not be including taxes, but might be, not sure) with $0 down. Apparently he worked a decent deal to his expectations. Seems like prices vary greatly, depending on where you go to get it.

Out of pocket should be first months payment, registration fees and any legally required taxes...nothing else....so $1300 sounds a bit high.
knowing the config of the car would help analyze both deals as well.
Does your friend know that the blutec on a 24 month lease will be significantly less expensive....but it's not 4wd.
