Finally picked up our new E350 wagon!

Went down to Sindelfingen yesterday and picked up our car from the factory (I'm a gov't contractor here in Germany). Attached are some pics after I brought it home. What a great drive back!.
Only gripe with the car (and can be fixed easily) are the tires, which are awful - Continental ContiProContact 18s.

White with Black MBTex interior
Dark Ash trim
P2
Pano roof
Sport
AMG Wheel pkg

What do you intend on replacing them with? Will you keep the same size.

For the NA Canadian version, only the Avantgarde (sport) version is available. Not my first choice at all. I would have got and prefer the comfort version. If there are better tires and more comfortable tires, I would like to know.

I'm thinking of going with a better summer tire but I need to verify the weight rating 93 vs. 97. I wanted the Continental Extreme DW but I'm not sure I can go with those. I had Continental Extreme DWS on my other vehicle and they absorbed many road imperfections. I like the sport suspension we have but I think the tires are a bit underwhelming. I will stay with 18s.

If you want summer tires, I suggest Michelin Pilot Super Sports. They are AWESOME tires. Guaranteed satisfaction with these...how can you not, since they were developed for Ferrari 458 Italia! Come with 30 K mileage guarantee. I have them on my E550.

Agree Conti Pro Contacts are trash. I had and disposed of after 1K. Hope MB changes to another all-season tire maker.
