Classy combo. With the Luxury Suspension minimizing harshness and potential rattles from said harshness VS the Sport Package, and the longevity and MPG factor from the Diesel, this is the ultimate Highway Cruiser W212.

Have the same vehicle in black (less P2). Love the four lamella grill. Just a bit classier than the three lamella grill found on the sport models. Love the ride too. Just picked mine up from it 30k mile service. Mine has been virtually trouble free to date. I wish you the same good fortune.

Mileage is great, I am averaging about 30, combined city/highway. Lots of NYC so stop and go kills the mileage even in the diesel.
I love the luxury package, glad I waited to not get a sport. Not 100% sure on the tires yet, I think non run flats will be better but not sure I want to deal with no spare.
The P2 is amazing, especially the xenon headlights: auto high and cornering lamps.
So all in all, I could not be happier.

In my admittedly brief experience with diesels I've found that they don't do well,in any sense,in stop-and-go....but mine is obviously just one opinion. If I had to regularly drive *any* kind of vehicle in NYC traffic I think I'd consider hanging myself! (That's why God created Metro North and NJT).

You have always given fair and balanced opinon in this forum. Many will benefit from it. I certainly do. Keep posting your experience so that others can share it. My friend who has brand new 2012 BlueTec got 38 miles per gallon on his last week's trip from Irvine, CA to San Jose, CA area with 4 persons on board.
