Conquest program--need info--buying today

I negotiated a price for a E350BTC but didn't mention the conquest rebate in the negotiation. I emailed the dealer to confirm that I will get the $3000 rebate. I understand that this is a corporate program, but does every dealer participate? Is there someplace to read "official" info on the program? Does the $3000 come off the price I negotiated or is it issued in some other form? I tried calling the calling the corporate office but they claimed to have no details on the program and said to speak to the dealer. It's too early for a response from the dealer. Any advice/info appreciated. Thanks.

conquest

MB seems very secretive about the program. I called the national MB customer number and didn't get a definitive answer previously.
It seems the program for March has vastly expanded what brands are eligible, just about anything.

I believe that you show vehicle registration for "proof" and then they take off $3000 from your negotiated price.

One dealer here in MN has written info on their site that all E class are eligible.
Another dealer says E Wagon is only elig for $2000 Conquest so the critieria are mushy. I'm looking at E Wagon.

One sales guy is seeking permission from his mgr to email me info about Conquest that came from MB but said it might be for dealers eyes only???

I found this article:

http://daveknowscars.com/2012/03/03/...ng-march-2012/

The very successful Mercedes Benz Competitor Conquest Program has been expanded for the month of March 2012! This has been a great program, in place for the better part of a year now, offering rebates and cash incentives to customers interested in purchasing select, new Mercedes-Benz models, simply for owning a particular competing luxury brand vehicle. There is no need to trade in the competing make vehicle.. you just have to prove ownership by presenting a title, registration card or proof of insurance to get the discount.

When the program started back in 2011 qualifying vehicles included the makes that we generally think of as direct competitors to Mercedes-Benz, like BMW, Audi, Lexus, Cadillac, Jaguar / Land Rover and a couple of others. A few months later makes like Lincoln and Volvo were added, then Volkswagen and Jeep. The program has proven quite popular, as general ‘manufacturer’s rebates’ don’t really exist in the Mercedes-Benz world. This program has always been an easy way to get $1,000, $2,000, even up to $4,000 off a new Mercedes-Benz depending upon the model you wanted to buy.

This month, March 2012, the Competitor Conquest Program has been opened up to just about every manufacturer you can think of…. Acura, Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Ferrari, GM, Honda, Hyundai, Infiniti, Isuzu (do they even still make Isuzus?), Jaguar, Jeep, KIA, Lamborghini, Lexus, Lincoln, Lotus, Maserati, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Porsche, Range Rover and on and on. If you’ve got a car that isn’t a Fiat, Citroen or Peugeot, you’ll probably be eligible for the rebates below.

New E class deals are especially attractive this month based on the $3,000 Conquest cash available. I haven’t seen a big rebate like that, well, ever, for new E class cars, and it will apply to an E sedan, coupe or cab… even the wagons qualify.

The Competitor Conquest Program cannot be used in conjunction with most other sales programs, it’s an either or sort of incentive. It cannot be used in conjunction with fleet transactions, European Delivery deals, the Mercedes-Benz Club discount, etc. etc. This program does not apply to Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG coupes or roadsters or Sprinter vehicles.

The CCash is in addition to any discount the dealer is giving you.

Since it is an MBUSA program and doesn't affect the dealer profit, I can't imagine any dealer not participating.

I just got this reply from the dealer: "The incentive is given to the dealer and its included in the negotiated price we have agreed to. We are selling you the car way back of invoice so we need all the help we can get. Thank you." I never mentioned the conquest program or what car I drove in the negotiation only after we agreed to a price. Advice anyone?

Bummer. I negotiate my best price but include----"and all eligible programs/rebates will go to me" so there is no confusion.

I'd say to start all over with that dealer, what's their best price where all rebates/programs go back to you.
Any other nearby dealers as their tactic here would leave a bad taste in my mouth-----not sharing info on available programs with you and trying to pocket the program$$ themselves. Sneaky but not uncommon....

If you provide MSRP of your car with options and then agreed upon selling price, then and only then it will be possible to see if the deal already included any conquest and/or loyalty insentives.

Keep in mind that it was possible for dealer to assume that you drive a car (any marque other than MB, otherwise you're eligable for a loyalty insentives instead) which would qualify you for conquest and they might have considered it when providing you with the final price.

Also Mercedes allocates number of conquest certs for each dealer to use. They tend to run out towards the end of the month.

The blog post should clear everything up... under this particular program... an E class is an E class is an E class, wagon, diesel, coupe, cab, any of them... they all qualify for $3k this month, and don't let anyone try to tell you differently.
Thanks but my confusion is my "most trusted" salesman says the Conquest plan materials from MB specifically say the E Wagon only gets $2000, not $3000. Anybody have the actual MB program materials?

What is the current loyalty incentive? I own an Audi and an E320 and am looking for a new E350.
Thanks

Current loyalty is $2,000. However to qualify, I believe one must finance (but I could be wrong) the current MB through MBUSA finance (lease or car loan) only. Sometimes in liew of finance and if current MB is traded-in, they could "bump" trade value up by $2K (but do not quote me on it since its up to a dealer and marketability of the trade-in car).

Read again. Conquest ($3K) vs. Loyalty ($2K). Two separate incentives programs which can be combined for total of $5K.

Are you sure these can be combined? I have been informed otherwise, but that could be a "cooperative" dealer issue.

Have I done it myself? No. But a few months ago there were several threads about "super-duper" lease deals on 2012 E350BTs (in the $410/m range all in with $0 down). Those who got them, reported that they were able to combine ALL the incentives in order (to get basically $10K off MSRP) to get (a 2yr) lease that low. It makes sense too. There's no logical reason why both can not be combined as some may qualify for one of them, while others - for both.

We are going to take delivery of a new E350 BTEC tonight/tomorrow (?) that we are getting USAA ($4k), Loyalty ($2k), and MBCA ($1k) in addition to invoice price. So, about $10k off MSRP. It's awesome. But, I tried to substitute conquest for loyalty and MBFinancial said no way that will fly. When you get the USAA or any fleet, you can't get conquest. It says it right on the certificate. If you get conquest, you can't combine it with anything else, not even the MBCA cash. Maybe they caught on after it was done a while back.

I'm not trying to be a "know it all," but since I'm in the middle of it today I thought I would share. That being said, I'm fired up to go get this deal done. Our MSRP is almost $65k and the lease is under $500 per month with only around $800 due as signing. AWESOME!!

Thanks for posting. I'm sure that this latest info, as you provided, would be very usefull to all those buying soon. $10K off on a brand new '12 E350 is an awesome deal indeed. BTW, what is MBCA ($1K) cash?

Mercedes Benz Club of America (MBCA). After you're a member for 12 consecutive months, you get $1k certificate that is combinable with any and all other programs (except conquest!). You get one for yourself and a free associate membership (spouse) per year, so 2 certs per year for only $49. If you're not a member, it's worth it.

Thanks. After being an MB enthusiast for the last 13 years, it is ignorant on my part not to know. Each time I was buying an MB, I was throwing MBCA application (alway included with "paper work") away. I'll become a member right away.
