I have 20's. Just replaced what I had with Vossen CV2's which the offsets are perfect. I had 35 offset rear wheel. You'll need a higher offset on the rear to bring that wheel in if you are going with that 20x10.

I know, I specifically ask the company I bought them from and they called Roderick who gave me the 38 offset recommendation. The wheel comes in a higher offset 40 which would do the trick.

clmulli, what is the offset on your vossens. I am working with Rodrick and they are referring me to a shop that can shave the inside of the rims. Anyone with good or bad on this process?

By the way, the car looks amazing with those rims.

Those are almost stock like offsets. IMO, above offsets should not be used as a reference by those wanting to go for after market wheels in order to get close to flush fitment look or at least more aggressive than stock. BTW, 10mm more aggressive offsets for those specific wheels and tires would result in a perfect flush fitments.

Thanks ThreeMBs, do you have any experience in the shaving process or have heard good or bad?

Depending on the wheel, most shops recommend not to shave off more than 2-3 mm.. my opinion is unless its necessary(rubbing issues) I would not do it.

Biggie, Roderick is standing behind the job and the full warranty on the rim. They say it is not an issue.

There is no rubbing but the rim sticks out a little and I am thinking to potentially lowering the car.

How much are they willing to shave off in the rears? You need 5-6 mms to be shaved off the 10" wide wheels. Your wheels' hub mounting area will be (IMHO) compromised. If it were me, I would not do it. Do they have 10" wheel with et43-45 or 9.5" with et38-40?

I have asked if they could handle 7-10mm without structure damage. I am not sure how much they are recommending to take off to make it under the wheel well yet.

They do sell the same 10" rim with a 45et offset, I think they are just trying not to have me send the wheels back after they have been mounted. I would prefer this verses the shaving. What do you guys think?

I dont know your tire specs, but if it helps.. im running 40et on a 20x10 rear wheel 275/30 and lowered NO RUBBING. the 275 on a 10 is a slight stretch.. id say 285 with those offsets and lowered youll rub.

I'd say there's zero chance of that happening.

Try to work out a deal with them for replacement wheels (10" et45). That is your only option.

Based on your recommendations, I sent an email to both the dealer and the manufacturer to send me the 45et rims so that I do not have to mess with the process. They guaranteed the fit so I am asking them to stand behind the recommendation, otherwise I stop payment on the charge on my card and then I am sure that will work.

BTW, the front offset of et32 is also a bit aggressive for a 9" wide wheel - fronts got to be sticking out by 5mm or so. It is just not as visible (with 235 tires, which are a bit stretched on 9"), as rears are (with much wider 275 tires). That offset would be more appropriate for a 8.5" wheel. For a 9" wide wheel offset right around et37 (+/- 1), which is OEM on E63, would be better, but not sure if its worth for you to press them on that too at this time.

The fronts are 8.5 not 9.. I looked on the roderick website 20" is 8.5 front 10 rear.. and you can clearly tell in the photo that the front tires arent that stretched.. if that was a 9" wide that tire would look alot more stretched.. ABOUTROS you should do a lil more research on your wheels buddy. Also a 9" front at 32et would be sticking out a lot more..

site also says for 20x8.5 front they only offer 32 and 45et.. and 20x10 they offer 25,38,and50.. soo if I were you id stick with the 38 and shave off 2-3 mm.. unless there making you custom offsets idk.

Agreed on all your points. In the pictures, front wheel does not protrude nor front tire is stretched. I was basing my comments on the specs that were provided rather than on the pictures (we all know how can pictures be misleading and to be fare those pictures are not that great). As you said, I would also change nothing, if rear wheels are available only in et38 or et50, and not in et44 to et46 range.

Send the rears back and get the ones with the 45 offset.

Think those would be the perfect size with no need for spacers or shaving.

I would highly not recommend shaving the wheels.

Guys, thanks for all the input. You all are amazing I wish I would have done a little more home work but I thought I was asking the professionals in the dealer and manufacturer on this matter.

I will let you guys know. Thanks again.
