Thanks Champion, I am thinking about lowering and want to lower the car by about .5 to 1 inch. Any experience with eibach springs. Some sites indicate 1- 1.5 inch and others .5 to .8 inch. Also what about the ride quality?

Palladium Silver. Thanks for the link but it does not indicate how much lower it will adjust the front and back.

According to Eibach it would be Avg low 1.2"F & 1.2"R.

Thanks James, but here is where it is confusing as this is what I have read on the internet and Eibach has this on there website:

PRO-KIT PERFORMANCE SPRINGS (SET OF 4 SPRINGS)

# 2581.140

Front: 0.8 in
Rear: 0.5 in
Footnotes: Ride Heights May Be Adjusted Through Mercedes Pad System. Please Consult Your Authorized Mercedes Dealer If Add'l Ride Height Adjustment Is Needed.

PRO-KIT Performance Springs (Set of 4 Springs)
#1 Choice of Automotive Enthusiasts Worldwide!
High Performance Handling and Aggressive Good Looks
Lower Center of Gravity
Stop Quicker, Corner Faster and get Better MPG!*
Progressive Spring Design for Excellent Ride Quality
Million-Mile Warranty
The Eibach PRO-KIT is the perfect answer for most frequently-driven street cars. It's our legendary sport spring system that dramatically improves both a vehicle's performance and appearance.

PRO-KIT precisely lowers your car's center of gravity, reducing squat during acceleration, body roll in corners and excessive nose-dive under braking. When combined with Plus-1 or Plus-2 wheels and tires, the Eibach PRO-KIT is the finishing touch to a winning recipe for performance. PRO-KIT also reduces excessive fender-well clearance, making your car look just as hot as it performs.

Every Eibach PRO-KIT is designed and tested by our suspension engineers and performance driving professionals to deliver aggressive good looks and high performance handling, without ever compromising safety or ride quality. By using our proprietary, progressive spring design, PRO-KIT Performance Springs provide the ultimate balance to take your passion for driving to a whole new level.

* Your results may vary. As we have learned from racing and independent testing has proved - lowering your car or truck's ride height also improves your aerodynamic efficiency by forcing more air over the car and less underneath (where most of the drag is found on any vehicle), resulting in higher top speeds on the track and better MPG on the highway.

Mercedes and more
I double checked Eibach's website and got the same as I posted prior. Here is a link below.

E350, Sedan 3.5L V6 (Exc. 4-Matic & S/Lev) (W212) 09-11 2581.140 1.2(v) 1.2(v)

http://performance-suspension.eibach...plications.pdf

Where did you get the information you posted? Also, regarding the pad system.. Mercedes uses a rubber spring perch above the rear coils. These are available in different thicknesses from Mercedes. Depending on which one you have to start with and where you want to end up, you can mix and match thicknesses to achieve the ride height you want. For example if your car has the thickest perch you can go to a thinner perch. That is basically how the pad system works.

Thanks , my Mercedes mechanics also told me that these pads settings are different for each model
For instance: Elegance - Luxury model has a different set up then Sport-Avantgarde models .

BenzV12 and AdvancePerformance, the information I posted was from Eibach website regarding the specs. I understand the pad system and I think since my car was purchased with the sport package, it was already lowered using a smaller pad. I am wondering if the pad can be completely removed to effect a lowering thereby eliminating the need for springs. Do you guys know if the same pad system is used for the front end, I do not think so from what I have read and I think that I will have to go the spring route of Eibach since the lowering is 1.2 verses H&R which is 1.4. Thanks for your help

MGP Covers

Made a minor modification, MGP caliper covers, and wanted to get you guys feedback on the look, I know that most of your guys do not like the fake brake look but I wanted to update the wheels and get some dust protection.

Love it! I actually painted mine red. I'm thinking now I should have went with the covers instead. What's your progress on the Eibachs? I'm thinking of lowering but I'm worried about the negative camber.

clmulli, thanks. I wanted to paint also but what a hassle to do and to find someone that would do it. I installed myself in less than 30 mins.

I want to lower but I am affraid of the ride quality and going to low. I have a small gap and I am just affraid with 1.2 inch lowering and then a couple of passengers.

Still debating.
