Eibach Springs
Anyone used these springs in their car ? It says lowering up to 30mm according to model .I like to lower my upcoming ride w/o compromising the ride quality

I think the only way you'll know about ride quality would be to know the spring rate of the current vehicle, compared to these. I believe these are progressive springs as well as the current MB springs. There are, at times, springs that are low enough to hit the bump stops on the shocks/struts, in which case, sport shocks may be necessary to compensate but 30mm doesn't seem like a slam drop.

I posted this springs at the other forums and I have got 2 replies and all of them say go for it . Anything more than 30mm requires major changes as you mentioned but 30mm doesn't
Thanks for your reply

30 mm is moderate.. Ride won't be affected much. Only thing I would be concerned about is how they hold up over the years. They can start to sag as they break in.

They say lifetime warranty but I don't know . One member said that Mercedes approved this brand and TUV certified
Just in case, I will be saving OEM springs in my garage .
Thank you

I'd go it at your own risk. Also, once the shocks blow from only changing springs, your handling and ride will go out the window (had this happen on one of my old cars), mixed with inevitable hard "jamming out" when your suspension bottoms out on dips. I became an advocate for not changing only springs (i.e if you do it, do the shocks et al as well), and that goes much extra for a Mercedes. Not to mention, that ghetto "bounce" look your car will have if the springs/shocks do bite the dust.
Especially at a time where my cars harsh ride over rough roads is starting to **** me off again, I just couldn't imagine how horribly it would ride over those roads with lowered and stiffer springs.

i'm looking at shocks/springs lately as well. i agree with K-A's comment; it's better to change springs and shocks altogether, otherwise it'd be much more money going down the drain later on.
i have my eyes set on B12 bilstein pro-kit, it comes with eibach springs as well. might pull the trigger sometime next week.
