slight jerk when accelerating

http://www.allworldauto.com/tsbs/NHT...in_375901.html

I find when I accelerate, from stop the vechile gives a slight jerk. I'm not sure if it's my driving style though!
I am accustomed to driving a much smaller car. I've only had this vehicle a week.

Should I take it in to get checked?
any idea of that service bulletin will affect me ; 2011 E250.

What does RM UPDATED mean?

I have a similar experience. Seems like the gas pedal almost sticks a bit. Although I usually avoid bringing the car in unless it's absolutely necessary I think I'm going to have them take a look at this. Maybe just needs a little lube or adjustment. Other than that, the car is flawless. Best

When you start your car, it sets the transmission mode setting in "e" which means you start in 2nd gear. Try setting the transmission to "s" mode before you drive off and see if that solves your issue.

Huh?? No, you are just selecting the shifting program for the transmission....you bought a powerful car and Mercedes helps you enjoy it by setting it in economy mode every time you start the engine so you start in 2nd. You have to reset it every time you start the car.

They are so helpful....

Related...my wife just bought a Hyundai Sonata Turbo..pretty fast car. The helpful dealer set the car to economy mode. If we wanted economy, we wouldn't have bought the turbo...duh!!!

that's just the "sport" mode and it won't damage anything unless you gas it too hard and hit the wall . j/k .

Didn't have to go to the dealer...just changed the setting in the car. Unlike my $60K mercedes, the $29000 Hyundai remembers my setting and doesn't put it back in economy every time I get in the car.

To the OP: Of course you should take it to the dealer if you think you have the symptoms described in the bulletin. You do not need our permission to do the right thing.

It doesn't jerk during constant driving at all; just that point where it shifts.
I find myself barely accelerating when driving on confined roads; bcasue if I pres sjust a little bit too much it will jerk and then go ZOOM!
