Weak Air Conditioning System

Anyone else feels the air conditioning system doesn't blow as COLD as it should?

I'm at the lowest setting....LO...and I tried 60 as well....still does NOT blow as cold as my Lexus.

Im at 12K miles on the odometer.

Mine is very cold. In fact, the loaners I have had also have great cooling capacity. Something is likely wrong with yours. What does your dealer say?

Did you just notice @ 12K miles? Or did you suspect something from the time you first used it? Really important...because if you always suspected something, then take it in and bark @ the service tech about it...you need that cool air in Hawaii for sure. Been there done that! (Hawaii, that is)

Agree. There was a thread a while back in which the OP refused to use the auto setting. My recall is that it was agreed that was his problem.

Mine gets so cold in fact that I have to be careful with the left vent blowing on my left hand. Nearly get frostbite on long trips. Not really kidding. It's painful.

Have you tried AUTO button ? Because all the cars I have ever driven when you select AUTO if blows too powerful
ttoE550 is right, subjecting too much cold could reek havoc in your health system , this is why I don't use the coldest settings too long

Mine gets way too cold. I find the vent positioning and large-and-in-charge size (straight up, front facing, as opposed to many cars with tiny vents that are set at the curve of the dash, i.e in order to have the vents blowing straight, you have to angle them technically downward) to make for the most functionally sound and perfect HVAC system I've seen on a car yet.

Chevrolet Chevette, Ford Pinto, Pontiac Aztek, Trabant, Yugo GV (and all the worst cars ever built)
My aircon gets really really cold, and considering that my wagon even has a much larger interior space than a sedan. I end up always just putting the aircon at the lowest fan setting at 65 degrees. Anything more than that and the kids start complaining about the cold.

Mine is artic here in Florida most of year, taking into account the black car sitting in the sun. If in shade, it is cold almost immediately when 90+ outside. I am at 40k. I suggest taking your car in for service check.

I think it may have the best A/C I've experienced in an autmobile. Heat as well. Heat a little better in the w211 though.
