Porsche Macan S SportDesign / Ex M-B's: 11 & 10 & 06 E350's, 02 S500
In Paris right now, Germany before it, and around EU generally lately, and it's really something the presence the E-Class has here. They are everywhere in the major city areas, as Taxi's mostly (this goes for the S and C Classes as well, btw), yet from the many people and car enthusiasts I've talked with and know here, it still has a prestige factor. My Cousins saw my E's pictures online and were literally gawking over it to me. Pretty impressive, and you realize how important the model is to M-B when you're out here. Pretty much everybody in more than 3 Countries I've asked the question of "BMW VS Mercedes / E-Class VS 5-Series" in terms of what has a higher general perception and appeal/cachet, they all answered M-B and E-Class.

German TAXI E212 that I rode in had MB TEX seats.
A detail of the TAXI light yellow color to know is that it actually is a plastic film. When they retire the car from TAXI service the film is peeled off and under the film you will have brand new paited car. This is why you must be very careful when buying a used car in Germany especially MB as the car can look very new while it could have tampered odometer, i.e. way more km than it shows.
Sometimes you can see if the car was a TAXI when carefully looking on the roof where that suction cup TAXI sign is located. That suction cup can leave a faint marking on the pain under the plastic film as it is used in almost the same location at all times.

Just for a heck of it I selected closest to my car's configuration and got EURO 95 500 price tag on it. With today's exchange rate it equals to about $126 500.
How lucky we are here in the U.S.

K-A, I don't envy you as Paris weather was really horrible last week -- I wanted to take more pictures of W212s but it was raining so hard that I hesitated to go outside.

Yeah, London's was even worse!
Kind of a crappy weather time for EU, but Paris' weather has been okay the past couple of days. Actually, for a rainy season I guess you can say it's been "okay". Makes me REALLY appreciate the beautiful weather of my lived in area. Today it was sunny, then dim, then full on raining. Nuts. The W212's are all dirty and nobody in Paris seems to wash their cars (I can understand why).
Also, cars in Paris are so banged up, W212's certainly no exception especially being used to such rigorous duties. I've seen E-Classes so worked in it makes even the worst examples I've seen in the States look pristine. Cars out here age tenfold. I feel like I already know how the W212 will age once we see beater versions driving around in the States in the future.

I was in Munich yesterday (...again) and caught this W211 with a very interesting configuration. Check this one out. What does EVO stand for?
