Debadging...
Debadging...
Hope this wasn't already addressed in another thread...feeling lazy on a rainy Sunday...
Anyway, still up in the air about debadging the E...wifey prefers the "smooth booty" look...
So, was wondering if there was anyone out there that's already done it... If so, is the "model/type" chroming glued on as separate pieces (i.e. I can take the "E 3 5 0" off one alphanumeric/piece @ a time)? And what's the safest/cleanest way to strip them off? Again, I haven't completely made up my mind...suggestions?

I beg to differ , I like badging cars
I think you need a hair dryer to remove the badges but I like to leave the badges are they are .
My right side to the trunk is empty but it needs to be filled ha ha

i just debaged mine. its a black car so i didnt need the hairdryer. car sat in the sun for a while and i just double or tripled up some dental floss and placed it behind the badge. pulled forward a tad so it didnt rub on the paint... and used a sawing motion. when the badge was about 50% off i just carefully pulled the rest of it off.
i took off the god aweful IMO blue efficient badges first... then the 4matic and the E350. to answer one of your questions the 4matic and E350 are all individual pieces and held on by double sided tape.
use a little goo gone and then wiped it with a damp micro fiber then waxed the body panels. i think the car looks great with just the three pointed star on the rear deck. probably not for everyone but i like it. its super simple to do. good luck.

my 550 is still badaged....but my amg is not....
I watched the dude debadge my amg....it was so easy
I felt pretty dumb...but the car was pretty new...
but yeah: he just heated them up(with an old hair dryer he claimed to have had for ages) and use a really tiny flat head to
just pry them off.....and he only took ten dollars for it....
