Ordering a new 2013 e350?
-e350 4Matic. Luxury Sedan
-black with black MB Tex
-Drivers Assistance Package
-Parktronic
-P2 packagage
-Rear Split fold seats
I am trying to get ash wood instead of burl walnut wood. Dealer said it is not possible since ash wood comes only in the sport package, but will look into it. Also, I noticed the seats in some MB Tex cars are better padded than others. The dealer said the luxury seats are more padded. Can someone explain? I want to make sure the order is correct.

When you quote the dealer, I hope you don't mean the sales person. Most of them are clueless.
I specifically asked about the engine from the dealer principal at my dealership. He told me MB says the 302hp engine is carried over to the 2013 model on the E350 in North America.
I wish I was wrong, I would love 333hp.
There's a simple way to be psychic and predict the future with M-B and most European brands: Just see what's available in Europe now, and you'll see what might be available here, tomorrow.
I would even be surprised if M-B not only screwed the 2010-2011 W212 owners, but ended up screwing the 2013 owners by consistently upping the power by 30 HP by way of putting 333 HP in the 2014 MY facelift model. This is a short term mentality that will lose long term clients. You just don't up the HP or more importantly, change the engine 3 times during 1 cars production run, it's careless and messy business, and they should have had the foresight to get the specs/motor they wanted into the car earlier. Also, a great way to tank the resale of earlier models, though, fortunately for E owners, the buyers here aren't of Mustang/Camaro kin, as they probably won't care or even know about different engines. The W211 E350 didn't really change the W211 E320's resale, and those are drastically different motors (liters, etc.).
Also, I suggest that you get the dealer to clarify the 7.5% off MSRP. Is that including discounts such as loyalty and/or conquest cash? Some people have been burned by dealers playing fast and loose with how they are going to get to a given discount level.

There are a couple of more changes. The Harmon Kardon unit is now a separate item and is not included in the P1 package. There is another high-end sound system from B&O which is also available for $6500.

Comments people?
There is no facelift for MY13. There are no engine changes for MY13 except the addition of the 400H. These are the changes:
New “Style Guide” colour scheme for instrument cluster and all headunits
BlueEfficiency badge removed from fenders
Polished stainless steel beltline trim standard for all models
New chrome electronic key with AMG emblem for E 63 AMG
ECO driving monitor in instrument cluster display
Digital operator’s manual in COMAND
Paint Changes:
149 - Polar White New
988 – Diamond Silver New
650 – Calcite White Deleted
E 300 4MATIC Sedan – SoP June 2012
E 350 4MATIC Sedan & Wagon – SoP June 2012
E 350 BlueTEC Sedan – SoP June 2012
E 550 4MATIC Sedan – SoP June 2012
E 63 AMG Sedan & Wagon – SoP June 2012
Polished stainless steel beltline trim standard for all models.
Can you elaborate on those? What are they?
I don't know when the car will be delivered.
Dealer told me last week that my car is built (do not know the actual build date yet). Weird part is that they do not know the pricing for 2013s yet and there have not been any announcements by MB. So the car will arrive in the US on July 2, then to the dealer two weeks after that.
So, It is reasonable believe that the 2013 E-Class may get updated lighting, engine-updates and trim changes.
There is plenty of rumor, renderings and pictures:

Caught! Refreshed 2013 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Hides its New Face. Automobile magazine...
We are all guessing and yes these have been discussed. "2013 will be pretty similar to 2012"... how do you know? Have you seen the pictures of the 2013's? We are not talking a major facelift. These articles are describing headlight changes, trim changes, and possibly a horsepower uptick. The C-Class had some nice updates. Even if they don't uplift... so what ? It's fun discuss the changes possibilities.
My point being that posters are stating as a "matter-of-fact" that there will be little or no-updates. They have no more information than the articles themselves. Personally, I don't think the E-Class needs any changes and I hope they don't change it yet.

I think it's official. A few weeks ago it was more in the air.

Passenger multi-contour option is a must.
Guidelines in reverse camera would be nice.
4-zone climate control (or even bring the 3-zone to the USA!) would be nice.
Xenons in non-P2 cars would be great.
I'm sure I'm missing a few subtle ones still

Parking guides .Actually, I was gonna post a topic about these . I presumed all the MB models come with these parking lines , I know AUDIs and BMWs come with these lines . When I first saw them on the mag , I found them pretty confusing though lol
I presumed pass multi contour seats were avaliable , I would like to have HUD

MBUSA is pretty clear that multi-contour is a *driver* side option on the 2012 E.

I'm ambivalent to negative on the HUD - seems cool, but I hear on BMW at least it makes windshield replacement a REAL PITA. They fit a special tapered glass windshield *AND* note that placement/fitment precision is critical
