Shiny tire spray
You first need to scrub the tire clean. Thereafter, I use Aerospace 303 diluted with water. You'll always need to wipe any excess off the wheels though. 303 gives a nice dull shine to the tires that doesn't make it look artificial. 303 will also do all your interior vinyls and plastics.
However, if you don't want to go through the trouble, look at Meguiar's tire shine products that are available OTC at places like Walmart, Target, etc.
Thanks for the info. Went to Autozone and bought Armor All Extreme Tire Shine.
I am not a car guy.
I am not going to clean my car with a toothbrush or a chamois cloth.
I have never washed a car by hand, and I am never going to.
I have never waxed a car by and and I am never going to.
I love the car, so it's a big move for me to want the tires shiny.
I am in the $5 car wash because I just don't care enough to do anything else.
I tried to tell you what I wanted, but you told me what you wanted.
I bought some Armor All wipes for the interior too. Now tell me what a schmuck I am.
Other than that, have fun with your tire shine!

I'd also stay away from petroleum based ones because I understand they will
eventually dry the tire out.......sounds weird, but I did that to my volvo all the time, and used to use it on my F150, but now the tires have those 'cracks' running along the outside........don't have the volvo anymore, but my truck tires still look like that.......
also, OP, your last post was funny

I use Armorall wipes on my tires (ONLY on my tires). They don't last long, but are easy, and they're actually not the "Tire Shine" ones, they're the "Interior Protection Wipes", so the shine is more matte and not as over-glossed. It's very simple to use, and since it's done by wipes, it doesn't fling stuff everywhere at all.
BIG +1 to "Miracle Juice" Aerospace 303, recommended to any car enthusiast. Put it on almost anything but paint and it does nothing but good.
As for your hands getting dirty, I used these on my tires yesterday evening before a formal event. I sprayed the tires and simply used a folder paper towel to spread it around the tires and I just washed my hands with soap and water. No mess and all done in 5 minutes... And my tires are good for a month or more...
no style is wrong
To your comments, the armour all spray for the tire works great. And get yourself a pack of multifibre cloth... to quickly dry off what was missed by a touchless car wash

imo... 90% of the average population would not notice the difference between a clean car and a detailed clean car. What the average person will notice are
- tires and wheels
- dirt on windows
- obvious dirt or dust on the actual body
- over-all shine of car
for your situation, i would just go to a touchless carwash, ... then as soon as you pull out from it, wipe down the car, and then spray on the armor all... done!

ArmorAll is the devil. It is the Stauer of car care products. Mass produced crap for the ignorant passing itself off as quality. The wipes actively remove UV protection from interior plastics and make the "soft touch" materials on some interior buttons peel.
Do yourself a favor and buy some Aerospace 303 - so much better than AA.
Tire manufacturers recommend against solvent-based tire dressings since solvents can penetrate the tire and leach out and remove its protective UV and ozone components. This will cause yellowing and premature cracking and failure of tires according to the tire manufacturers. Armorall is full of solvents.
Try 303 or something like this. Your tires will like it and won't turn brown. If you get something fro DD, the use the code BMW at checkout for a discount.

Got it!
So now I understand what I bought is the wrong stuff. A wasted $11 investment. No problem.
Will the 303 do what I want as easily as I want to do it? Otherwise, I will just live with the tires as they are.
You'll need to start with a clean'ish tire, spray it on lightly and then wipe it off with a paper towel or an old towel. I bought a cheap tire sponge at Autozone and use that to spread the 303. I spray it on, grab a glove (or a handful of paper towels) to protect my clean hands from touching the tire sponge and wipe down the tire. With a good product, you only need to apply every month or so it isn't like you do it every time you gas up.

. anyway, i used something called more shine less time before and it worked pretty good. it's extremely easy. no mess, no touch, finish in no time. last pretty long but probably doesn't have the shinny look you want. you can read the description here:

and the water just repelled right off!
