W212 Trunk Sill Cargo Net...accurate part no.?
Here's my dilemma: Ordered cargo nets for the trunk of our new W212 from the forum's proverbial "MyMercedesParts.com" (Mercedes of South Atlanta). So when I went to the site and selected "E-Class > 2010 to present > Interior > Cargo & Mats", I chose the following parts for our 2012 E350 (w/ split/fold rears):
1. Item #67660070 - Cargo Net - Sill
2. Item #67660105 - Cargo Net, Floor (for Sedan for vehicles with split-folded seats)
Wifey needed a way to secure stuff while toting birthday cakes, groceries, shopping items, gifts, etc, etc...you get the picture... So when I received them today, I first noticed that the paperwork refers to "...parts for...W 211...". Didn't think nothing of it until I went to install the sill cargo net (item#1 above) and it didn't quite fit like I think it was intended to fit. PLUS, the instructions had pictures of the W211 as opposed to the W212. Now I know that parts are usually interchangeable between MYs, but not usually manufacturer's generational bodystyles. So, what I need to know before I call and bark @ Mercedes of South Atlanta tomorrow, is if anyone else out there has ordered AND successfully installed the trunk sill cargo net for the W212, and if so, what part number did you order, how did you install it, and did the way it fit allow for functionality (I can't see how the net would extend upward to the top of the sill to connect like it should because there's no apparent way to attach it (for the W212) as the W211 picture shows...) Please chime in w/ whatever you guys can offer to resolve my issue...

I bought the sill cargo net and it's a complete waste of money....as a friend, I wouldn't even give you the right part number because you will be wasting $50 or so.

+1 - get the crates! They may even be on sale right now at your MB dealer. They are at mine.
I had a sill cargo net on my last Benz and it was great, compared to the nothing I had before that.
Ordered the same type of net for my 2012, but when the car was delivered, same as you it did not fit. Not only that, but it was only about one fourth the depth of my previous Benz' net. Actually two of the new ones would have made a very interesting string bikini! A fact that was not lost on my service advisor either.![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
My dealer tried re-ordering, but the second one did not fit either. They finally went to their Honda dealership, obtained a net for the Accord (which is a nice deep one and high quality), made a small, unnoticeable modification and fit it in perfectly. My advisor still felt compelled to apologize for "corrupting" my Benz with a Honda part.
And they installed it free, dropping the original charge for the net as well.
While I was at the dealership, I purchased a couple of those collapsible crates. Long story short, except for two situations, after beginning use of the crates the cargo net has remained unhooked and piled in a heap on the trunk floor.
You'll love the crates, especially for food shopping. When you fill them up with several bags and get home, you can just walk them right into the kitchen and unload.

being very honest, unless you want or "need" the mb logo, otherwise a trip to home depot for crates will save you some bucks. i think i bought mine from there for less than $8 each.

Thanks for all the input fellas...gonna stick w/ these for now I guess (since it sounds like the actual 2012 part won't be any better).
Heck, may even look into the Honda net!!!

BUT, my C207 is narrower (dare I say dimensionally more Honda-like?

If Acura or Lexus has them, one of those may fit better.
Aaaaah, just get the crates when you feel like it.

It really is an excellent quality and deep net. Every bit as well made and functional as the MB net in my previous Benz.
BUT, my C207 is narrower (dare I say dimensionally more Honda-like?
) than your W212, so may not work for you.
