If you live in a hilly or mountainous area, this is spectacular.

One thing is that you can stop the car and pull for resume and it goes back to where you set it. Some cars cancel out if car stops or drops below about 30 MPH.
Number one benefit of cruise control? Eliminates traffic tickets for speeding.
Number two benefit? Increases MPG.

as you pass them......as they pass you......as you pass them.....as they pass you again.......as you pass them.........

people here in NC REALLY do not know what the left lane is for.....and we have no minimum speed limit either...so that helps very little....I realize not all drivers have the CC, but DAMN......come on!!!

1) Pull forward to lock in current speed.
2) Push back to Cancel
3) Pull forward again to lock at speed you were locked before
4) THIS IS IMPORTANT - After a cancel (2) - Pull DOWN to lock in current speed and not speed you were locked before.
I am sure its in the manual, but who reads TFM.
Here is what I mean. Lets say you are on a highway, and cruise at 65. You take an exit, so push back to cancel. Now you are on a 35 MPH road. If you pull forward, you are in trouble. This time just push DOWN and it will lock you to your current speed.

People crack me up indeed. Those crazies don't even realize they're wasting so much extra gas going through that dance.
i drive on the freeway a lot, and i constantly check my rpm as well...
when i control the speed manually, i can sometimes pull my foot off the gas whenever i see fit, letting the rpm goes down. if i use cruise control, the rpm maintains at the same level...
for example, going downhill, the cruise control puts on a little brake or downshifts, making the car maintain at the same speed. but if i do it manually, i will just pull my foot off both the gas and brake letting the car go (if there's no cops waiting at the bottom of the hill). i would think my method saves a little bit more gas than cruise control...

And if you push up I think it will add speed to the setting you had before slowing down.
