Aftermarket back up sensors?

Has anyone here installed aftermarket back up sensors? That is the one thing that I wish my 2012 E350 had. Unfortunately when we bought, only one in-stock car had the option but we didn't like the rest of the car.

I like the back-up camera and it's useful, but the sensors would be much more useful in my opinion. They actually alert you when you aren't looking.

Sorry to jump in on your E class thread, but I saw the post title on the home page. I have aftermarket sensors on my car. I did not install them - the original owner did. They were not even a US option on CLKs then except AMGs. I'm glad I have them. However, I have never seen aftermarket sensors that sit flush like factory sensors do. They all sit proud of the bumper. If I owned a 2012 with a camera, I'd think pretty hard before installing them just for the asthetic reason. If somebdy makes truly flush ones it might be different. I can shoot a pic if you want to see how they look on my car.

I presumed all the W212s came with the back up sensors . Back up camera is a great stuff ,I like it very much but sensors themselves perform good job too
Only aftermarket camera I am using is on my Daimler . It's working like swiss watch and warns as supposed to be .
My dad's Fleetwood also has an aftermarket back up sensors along with the rear view camera .They both work well

Go for it, you won't regret at all

I installed them on my mom's old 2009 C300. They were cheap aftermarket ones but blended nicely as they were similar to the gloss black of her rear bumper. No one could really tell and I tend to be really picky about add-ons. They served the purpose during her 30 month lease.

MBUSA placed the order for my car and neglected to add the requested PARKTRONIC system. Needless to say, when I picked up the car from Sindelfingen and realised this, I was infuriated! I found a company that specialized in MB Telematics, located in Sindelfingen of all places. For 1200 Euro, they installed the factory system on the front and rear of my car, with PARK ASSIST included. It looks, functions, and is the factory system, of factory parts. The person that I spoke with was Rafael and the website is: www.navisworld.com. Good luck!
