Thank you so much for posting all this info, really helped as I was just about to change my oil on the AMG-GT-C and there isn’t any other great info out there.

Also for those of you criticizing someone wanting to change their own oil. For me it’s not about the money, I own several exotics and can afford to take my car anywhere, it’s about the convenience. I have a lift in my garage, I have all the tools, it will probably not take me more than 15-30 minutes to do and if I were to mess with taking my car to the dealer in Houston, it’s 40 minutes away, will have to wait for an hour at least, and I personally don’t trust dealerships as they don’t care about my vehicle as much as I do.

I grew up in a garage, built my first small block chevy engine without any assistance when I was 12, I know my abilities, I have zero intimidation about working on any vehicle as long as I can find the info needed to complete whatever the tasks I am performing. No one will care about my vehicles more than I do.

I have been on this site for years and have yet to see anyone criticized for desiring to work on their cars. Although I have seen comments critical of using M-B certified service centers (dealerships) .
And it is NOT "all about DIY maintenance." It is about seeking information and advice and discussing our vehicles. Some of that is advice on performing DIY and that is fine.

My car called for 40,000 change in the ASSYST screen. The TWO fluids are rather special and listed in post 53 of this thread.

Transmission:
You will need about 10 Quarts total
-7.4 Quarts for the Transmission
-1 Quart for the Heat Exchanger
-1 Quart as excess over fill per filling procedure
Book calls for MB 236.25 ATF, or Shell TF DCT-F3 (impossible to find)
Ravenol DCT-F3 meets MB spec 236.25 (Amazon for ~$88 per 4 Liter)

Rear Axle:
About 4 Quarts
-3 Quarts in the transaxle assembly
-1 Quart in the heat exchanger
MB 236.26 Oil 001 989 87 03, or Shell Spirax S5 ATE 75W90

Are you sure you're in the right forum? I don't see a W212 mentioned but a few other cars in your sig. Did you check with a shell distributor for those fluids? They also carry Shell ATF 134 FE which is what is normally used an W212 although some early ones used ATF 134.

Rear Axle?
To my knowledge MB does not list rear axle (differential) oil change other than for AMG vehicles that have differential locking systems. My car service booklet does not mention differential oil change at all. Dealer said MB thinks it is lubricated for life of the car but it would be good to change at around 100000 miles or so. I had mine changed at around 150000 miles.

Good find.
When I am pretty sure I never enable "related threads" probably the forum default did it for me.
Now I have it disabled, so one less thing to worry about.
