Floormats and Cargo liner
What floormats and cargo liner did you pick for your sedan? I'm thinking the all-weather mats by MB and the following cargo liner:

The MB mats (all weather mats) in my E550 only lasted for about a year before the heel pad separated from the driver's mat. Replaced with Weather Tech mats.
The Weather Tech mats are much more pliable rubber and seem to be more durable so far (about 1.5 yrs old now).
FYI - MB trunkliner has special part number if you have fold-down seats (removes the front lip so cargo will pass thru to rear seats when down).

OEM trunk liner , as for the floor mats it's an aftermarket one , I don't remember brand name for it but it's soft and durable . I have put them onto the MB floor mats therefore OEMs can stay fresh and mint condition

Are the Weather Tech E mats thin or pretty thick?
Surprised your MB rubber mats came apart. My buddy has ML with MB rubber
mats and they look/feel like they'd last forever----very heavy duty.
The WTech ML mats had a great design. The fronts covered about half the metal door sill so:
1. sweeping off the mat, it would be halfway out the door--instead of on the carpet and then try to sweep
over the raised door sill and
2. covering half the metal door sill would probably reduces scratches on the sill by a lot.
