I don't think it's too bad......like the headlamps, they're neat....

If it is going to look like this, I'm pretty sure I will be on another forum in the future. Headlights aren't bad, but that lower front end is horrible, and I think there should be some kind of lighting down there. CLS might be calling my name, as long as they update the newer electronics(command) into it when I am ready to move on.

I like it but I don't think I would trade my ride for it neither buy parts to make it look like 2014
Only one thing I am kinda upset about these images and it's that where the hood meets the top side of the grill . It should have been left as is no need some triangular, trapezoid styling
I forgot to add, no ponton fenders

after a few minutes of staring, I think I'm seeing what you guys are saying about the lower grill thing.........it isn't good whatever it is..........it's actually pretty terrible....but I like the rest of the car......don't see myself getting another E class that soon though, looks really nice debadged too

Not bad looking I admit.
I do see a license plate frame or bumper sticker in the future "Real E-class has 4 headlamps"...though I am sure <100 will be sold :-p
Totally OT but I saw a 240d on the side of the road (broken down and alone) in Potamac the other day with a bumper sticker reading "64HP". Made me sad for the old girl.

i'd rather they leave the led drl by the bumper than copying from audi . i was fairly disappointed by knowing they are going to change the headlights but i have to admit, they aren't that bad after all but what's going on with the lower grills ? leave the honeycombs alone !

It's not that bad, but I think MB design team could do better than that. I don't like the taillights. It makes me love my 2012 version even more.

Would push me toward considering other makes.
The lower grille is strange looking and does not coordinate or blend with the regular grille. Oh! they took a part off a Mazda or a Hyundai! Not as bad as the spindle grilles on new Lexues models though.
The two pockets for the DRL's (I guess) are way too big for that thin light bar (assuming it is a light bar). Almost as unattractive as the plugs Toyota uses on its vehicles that do not have fog lights installed. Looks like an option was available and you didn't get it.
I still prefer the four headlights of the W211 and W212 series. Made them really distinctive from other M-B sedans. Could live with new though.
I also prefer the four bar grille of the Luxury version of the W212.
I looked at my car as I was walking across a parking lot today and noted how the Pontoon "character" line in the rear quater panels really sets it off.
Overall, it just doesn't have that total body zing that W212's have. Would probably take sales from the S class and cause some people to drop down to C class.

I don't like the pontoon fenders, so I wish they would've gotten rid of the 2nd character line above the rear fenders.
And the the tailights looks a lot like the MB SUVs.... or a BMW 1-series. Oy.
Based on the pics of the headlight assembly posted on another board that supposedly will be part of the upcoming facelift, I assume these illustrations are dead-on.
It's certainly not terrible, but it's just totally incoherent.... Of course, the original design was rather odd, so.... ::shrug::
