NEW SMARTPHONE FOR 2011 E350
In market for new phone. Leaning towards Motorola raxr maxx or M, also considering Samsung Galaxey SIII. Any problems connecting?

I can speak to this because I recently came off the Apple 4 and switched to the razor maxx. Both phones work well, as phones, in the MB, however when BT streaming Pandora, the Razor doesn't allow for track advance, pause, etc. using the car's controls. The car's display simply says "audio device paused". You can hear the audio feed fine and can control the selections using the phone's controls, but the BT doesn't sync very well from a control standpoint. Not sure if anyone else has cracked the code yet.
BTW, I have the most recent software upgrade on my command interface in the car.
With the Apple, however, all controls work flawlessly. Wish my company supported the iphone; it's a far superior product to the Razor Maxx.

If you go with the Samsung feel free to PM me and I'll talk you through the trick.Actually,it's probably not a trick but, rather, something that's in either the 200 page Mercedes manual or the 150 page Samsung manual.

Whichever phone you use, when you first pair it with the MB, watch the phone carefully because within a few seconds you will be prompted that the car wants to download information from your phone.....and the key step is to click on the little box that says "don't ask me again" and then click on yes/ok to give permission.
The MB reloads the phonebook every time you connect and if you don't do this step, you will wind up with no phonebook loaded so you can't call by name.
