Is there any difference in the 2013 E350 Bluetec?
We have a 2009 E320 bluetec and are thinking about upgrading to the new body style, but would like to know if I should buy a left over 2012 or is there any changes worth having in the 2013 model?

wow, not one response..... Is there any difference in the '12 model vs the '13 model? I can't seem to find anything on the internet explaining any difference in the '13 model. Thanks for any help!

I've been looking for about 6 months for a Bluetec. I have done a lot of research and looking around. I finally found a good deal on a used one. There was a lot of confusion about the MY13 being redesigned, but that is because the European MY13 gets the Facelift (I think), and in North America MY14 gets the Facelift. There was some confusion on HP numbers on the MY13 Bluetec, but I think that was contributed by an ignorant salesman, and the Hybrid's Diesel Engine Spec. I think the Last change in the Engine was the MY12's change to Direct Injection and an HP increase. The MY14 gets the facelift, and the only thing that interested me was the HUD, as I am partial to the Quad Lights.
I am pretty sure the Car you build on MBUSA's website is the 13 Model. I say that because up until this month the car you were building said (2012) in the lower right corner. The build process is a little different and seemingly glitchy, and the (2012) is missing, so I assume that is a MY13 Spec/Build.

I've got a 2013 E 350. I'll get the ball rolling:
2013 changes are minimal and I may not know all of them.
1. MBrace2 but not sure what the new features are.
2. No stupid BlueEfficiency badges. Not sure about BlueTec, assume it at least has BlueTec on rear??
3. I believe electromechanical power steering is new to 2013 E models

MBWorld Fanatic!
I saw a short video on mBrace2 and it looks pretty neat. One feature that caught my eye as being pretty cool was that you can now track the car from your PC or smart phone. This is good if you're a jealous husband....
(Actually,I probably shouldn't joke about that)

We have our new '13 ML350 being built 2nd week in November and take delivery before Thanksgiving! I'm hesitating a little on the E550 due to it's not a diesel and we know Mercedes diesel motors are pretty much bullet proof and last a long time so I do not want to buy a gasser and have issues down the road as the E550 has been known to always have issues. The E550 still has issues with rotors/brakes even in the '12 model.

We love our diesel cars, but I may lean towards a '13 or '14 E550. I would love the extra power, and it looks like the gas mileage isn't that bad with the E550.
