I knew R231 has some cracking audio system but it seems MB has decided to go a few steps above beyond that

I think MB does their homework or HK is doing it not sure. But this "idea" has been used for many years among the aftermarket guru's. I still can't believe the sound quality that can be had from the 212 stock system, excluding sub. I've had to add small felt pads between plastic pieces in the door due to the midbass output of those drivers. Man they hit, make my door flex like crazy and just sound phenomenal. I've expanded my DVD-A collection due to this system.
