2013 E350 flex fuel

I picked up a E350 last week with a 12/12 build date. I noticed on the fuel tank that it called for premium or E85. When I looked at the sticker, it said it was a flex fuel vehicle. I am wondering if a lot of new E350s are coming thru as flex fuel vehicles. Other 2013's I looked at only had the permium requirement on the gas cap.

I believe that it is a function of the engine and the feature is a part of all cars with it. I know that the C300 and C350s all have it (from MBusa). Plus there is no option listed to be removed if you don't want it. I also wouldn't be surprised if MB simply doesn't market the feature outside of the states where E85 is "really" available at the pump, I sure know I haven't seen anything about it.

From what I understand, all the C class had it but even the guy on the phone at MBUSA didn't think that they were doing it yet on the E series. Initially after taking the VIN, he thought that MB had to produce a minimum amount of cars to meet some sort of government requirement. I called one of my friends at EPA in Washington and he said that there was no such requirement but did mention that they were seeing a huge increase in the number of motors that they were getting for certification that could use E85 and also E15
