I hope Grille replacements are cheap, as I gotta tell you, if the front-and contacts anything over the center of the front, the grille has very high potential for getting crunched. Can anyone say Active pre-brake standard?

Howdy, new to the forums. My wife and I were pretty much set on a new BMW 550i but when we saw the redesign of the E-Class, we were super stoked. We just placed an order for a Polar White E550 and should take delivery around late August or early September. We really like the new grill and lights...looks like it's flying just sitting there.

Congrats! I'm also deciding whether I should wait for a 2014 BMW 550xi or order a 2014 E550 now. If you don't mind, can I ask how much off MSRP did you get? Thank you!

I got close to 6% off MSRP for my E550 to be delivered in August. Read some folks got 7% off E350s. I assume better deals can be had for 350s since 550s are harder to come by.

Quote: i hope i don't run into anything with any part of the car, but the guide does call out pre-bake and collision-detection as standard. however, those system are designed to activate above 20mph. at those speeds, you are probably doing serious damage anyway.
Is that a new feature on the latest easy-bake oven?

We just found the new customer demographic for the new design. - just kidding. The design grows on you and looks S-class from different angles - the older good S-class...

We went back and forth too but decided that the overall package with the E550 was a better fit for us. We ended up getting 10.6% off the MSRP.

Quote: first post what's up guys.

i just ordered one, so i suppose i really like the facelift! luxury code for me. my 4-pot diesel and the sport kit don't really make sense together, so i'm glad they left us the option when ordering.

note also that the exhaust on the luxury/elegance model is turned down and hidden from sight. i like this feature as prominent exhaust tips are also too aggressive for a cruiser.

some pics of an E350 from a local dealer:

Congrats! I'll be getting rid of my 2013 e350 sport for one early August as well. Luxury package black with lighting and lane tracking. I wish they would keep the exhaust visible and provide me with better designed wheels like my current sport ones. But as most people agree, grill star didn't seem fitting for me. I'll post pics up once it comes in! Enjoy the ride!

The 2014 E350 makes me feel not wanting my Bimmer anymore.
Hey... E Classy, the Diamond White C Class in the background belongs to a hottie. That is her parking spot! I need to pay her a visit soon and ask for a quote

Hi Knucklehead I have had my 2014 e 550 for 3 weeks now and all I can say is that it has exceeded my expectations..this is my 9th benz and by far my favourite...the smoothness of the engine is quite remarkable and I really like the multi contour drivers seat..the power of the 8 is truly a delight...always on tap when you need it..the design appeals to me but I know that this a controversial subject..I am sure you will enjoy your new ride...

The car looks beautiful vs a BMW which is more generic/sporty.

How are the multi contour seats? that was a huge selling point for me with the Vent option. I tried the massage feature on an older one and really liked it. Although I am coming off of stiff sports seats from a BMW so maybe it just feels ultra refreshing at the moment.

I am impressed with the multi contour drivers seat...In Canada I don't think it is available for the front passenger as an option but it work great and really holds one in place in corners and the massage options are great on long trips..
