E350 2010 bumper type and LED drl cover grille question
#76
Thanks guys for the compliments. The $80.00 was to put the new LED's on and remove the quad DRLS/fog lights. That was a deal, I would expect a little more, I got lucky. I paid $200 to install the HID/Ballast lights and $20 for the parking HID LED's and lastly another $20 for the HID license plate LEDs. All for $320 but I'm done. So happy!!

I'm actually the one going to get paid to install the leds. These will be going on a friend's car. But if I were to charge someone to get these done 80-100 would be my price rang; Max 150. I've done more tedious work and this seems more on the simpler. That's just coming from me since I work at a dealership.

Hello, Please help me, I'm confused with my bumper type and what kind of outer grille (cover) for drl led I need. If someone has a knowledge on this, I would really really appreciate any input. Here is the summary of what I am looking to find out:
I have a 2010 e350 with four round lights. I wanted to convert them to led lights. Before doing that I did a lot of research and ordered "correct" parts for this job. I thought I had AMG styling package or a sport package. So, I assumed that my bumper had amg styling. I ordered parts number 2078850753 and 207-885-08-53 for right and left side and of course all other necessary parts for the led installation.
Yesterday I took off my original grille cover with the two round lights. When I started to put the new cover, it appeared that it did not fit! It was almost the same size, except the part I ordered was a little bit shorter than needed. So, in other words my present cover with round fog lights is by an inch longer than the one I ordered for the AMG style bumper.
Since I had my cover taken off, I looked at the part number and it is 2128850253 which shows up as Outer grille for E350, E550, E400, W/AMG PKG, w/light pkg on parts dot com website.
Can someone please explain to me which part number I need in order for it to fit properly on my bumper?
I did some more research now. Is it possible that I might need this part number: 2128851853 and 2128851753 taking into consideration that now I have this 2128850253?
If there are any questions, please ask. Thank you in advance.

Hi eraldfranklin,
I was telling Jerome this. That's it 2128851753 , 2128851853 , 2128852174 , 2128852274 get them from parts.com (it was around $178 for all 4 parts shipped, also select 2012 MB E350 for model) and the straight LED DRL's 2049068900 , 2049069000 you have to email that guy ales.lukez@gmail.com and ask for the LED lights with the wires attached. That was $200.00 with shipping. He's from Slovenia but it only took 5 days once he shipped them out. Or you can pay $166.00 for the LED's on parts.com, your choice.

Just be clear, to order the Straight LED DRL's from Ales it is $200 for the L/R pair including shipping, total. From parts.com it is $166 for each the left and right, then tax, then shipping, figure on around $400 with shipping.

$400 is a small price to pay for something that came out so nice... plus the satisfaction of having done this yourself, congrats again.

You have to pull the switch - same way as you would turn on your fog lights. So, from position A turn it clockwise once and then pull the switch. Your LED's will shine I hope it helps.

Have anyone tried connecting both wires the fog light wires and the drl wires together to the LED's? I think if you do this, you can have the led's work as drl and you can control them as fog lights if needed.
