E350 2010 bumper type and LED drl cover grille question

1. Connect the led to DRL
2. Connect the led to the fog.
Each r separate sockets.
LED can connect to only one of the lights.
I've connected it as fog it works n drl. As fog light u can turn on manually in day time but night u won't be able to turn it off if it comes on automatically. They r very bright. I just have them connected to DRL n they go off when the head lights come on.

I already had the round fogs swapped out for straight LEDs. A local shop did mine and at the time I was told they could not wire them so that they would come on at night. Right now they serve as DRL and come one when the car is turned on, only during the day. I wanted to see if anyone got them working at night as well.
So, you could not get them to come on at a lower brightness like the stock ones?

You would need to change the power supply and tweak the computer in order to work like the stock. 3-4k ain't worth it. At least that's what the dealer quoted me.

White E350 W212 with Panorama Roof
I have a 2011 W212 with LED hockey stick style DRL at lower....if I want to upgrade it to the 2012/2013 straight line LED style...will that be a direct swap by using the following parts without adding switches, cutting wires or something crazy...?

Plus the LED lights kits
Just want to see this is something I can do it myself without spending more then $500...and I can still sell the hockey stick kits for $100 or so...thanks in advance.

Sending this gem back up to the top. This is the write up I will be using for my conversion. Sadly, many of these members, including the OP, no longer use MB World. Ales Lukaz email still works and I have already been in contact with him. He said he will check back with me if he can still do the custom wiring for the DRL. I spent hours looking for a thread like this. Exactly what I needed!!

Relays
If you prefer not to solder or tap into the original harness you can use the cables below. You can also use a spdt relay on each side of the car to flip between the fog and drl cable. This way the LEDs come on durring the day, when you unlock the car or manually turn on the fogs. This method will also prevent bulb out warnings.
