E350 2010 bumper type and LED drl cover grille question
Hello, Please help me, I'm confused with my bumper type and what kind of outer grille (cover) for drl led I need. If someone has a knowledge on this, I would really really appreciate any input. Here is the summary of what I am looking to find out:
I have a 2010 e350 with four round lights. I wanted to convert them to LEDs. Before doing that I did a lot of research and ordered "correct" parts for this job. I thought I had AMG styling package or a sport package. So, I assumed that my bumper had amg styling. I ordered parts number 2078850753 and 207-885-08-53 for right and left side and of course all other necessary parts for the led installation.
Yesterday I took off my original grille cover with the two round lights. When I started to put the new cover, it appeared that it did not fit! It was almost the same size, except the part I ordered was a little bit shorter than needed. So, in other words my present cover with round fog lights is by an inch longer than the one I ordered for the AMG style bumper.
Since I had my cover taken off, I looked at the part number and it is 2128850253 which shows up as Outer grille for E350, E550, E400, W/AMG PKG, w/light pkg on parts dot com website.
Can someone please explain to me which part number I need in order for it to fit properly on my bumper?
I did some more research now. Is it possible that I might need this part number: 2128851853 and 2128851753 taking into consideration that now I have this 2128850253?
If there are any questions, please ask. Thank you in advance.

If you go to http://mercedespartssuperstore.com/
look for the lights and scroll until you find the "w/amg" type and that should be the correct ones.

Hello konigstiger, thank you very much for your answer. It seems that you right. I have just called MB dealership parts department. He took my VIN number and the guy gave me these part numbers: 2128851753 and 2128851853. And for the molding: 2128852174 and 2128852274.
These two parts: left 2128850853, right 2128851053 are for non-led set up.

0253 - 240 in diagram
0853, 1053 = 210
1753, 1853 = 220
2174, 2274 = 260
0853, 1053 = 210
1753, 1853 = 220
2174, 2274 = 260

Hi guys, thanks for your compliments. I paid $186 for grille and molding bought from parts.com (by the way the guys from parts.com communicated very well and informative and accepted my returns with no problems), $200 for the new LED lights from a guy on ebay and I installed them myself in about 5 hours.

wow, all the parts ain't that bad but i will never be able to do something like this myself. it'll probably take at least 2-3 hours by dealer or indy shop and that really kills the deal .

Great job Timurik. Did you get any errors with the new lights being LED? I thought that the car would need to be programmed differently to change the behavior of the DRLs so it knows that they are LEDs. The factory installed DRL LEDs dim when the headlights are turned on. Were you able to get this working?

Actually, the installation wasn't that bad. And I didn't have to take out the bumper, just took off one wheel at a time and that's it.

No, I didn't get any errors and I didn't use any resistors/capacitors, etc. I connected LEDs to the fog lights directly and they work just fine. As for the dimming, no, they don't deem at night. But they don't blind other cars.

I find it hard to believe that one can change from round fogs to LEDs without a bumper modification and/or electrical changes, especially after many posts on this the past few years. These posts always start good and end without a conclusion.
