Help removing blower
My blower, cabin fan, squeaks at lower speeds; I'd hoped it was just the filter but replacing has made no difference.
I can see the fan by removing the "big black box thing" on the passenger side by the firewall. If anyone has done this before or has some instructions I'd appreciate it.
thanks,
Peter

OK so the fact that I could see the top of the blower from under the hood by the firewall was a diversion.
The blower is removed by removing the cover under the dash in the passenger side footwell (as you'd do if changing the cabin filter). Look up and you'll see the back of the fan. Disconnect the wires, fiddle around and you'll be able to rotate the complete motor/fan assembly - there are some alignment marks and arrows. It will drop out when rotated.
Mine was squeaking, I blew off a ton of dust and put a small amount of lube on the bearings. It has been silent for the past month; hopefully it'll stay that way.
