C350 coupe same specs as E350?

Sorry if this is a lame question lol. Compared the c350 coupe againts the e350 coupe on MBUSA. Is the C class really a tad roomier (head/leg room) and with the same power (even faster since it weighs less) than the E class?

I sat in both before but still can't tell which one is bigger on the inside. Still on the fence on which one to get

Here is a light weight comparison between the C-class and the E-Class Coupe.

Did you drive both?

E350 Coupe
According to the the specs on MBUSA the E Coupe is 10.1 inches wider, 4.3 inches longer and the C is only 70 lbs lighter. The E Coupe is a much more elegant looking car with no B pillars and a longer front. When released in 2020 the E had the lowest drag coefficient of any model. I own a E Coupe and have driven a C sedan (loaner for a week) and the C was definately not as roomy side to side as the E. The C may have more headroom and legroom but that would be because of the C's greenhouse. The E is much sleeker and sexier. Yes, i'm biased I love my E!!! You might want to take this to the C207 forum you will get much better answers.

I definitely like the look of the E better just curious if the C really is a tad bigger on the inside (an inch or less). Kinda makes me wonder why is the E bigger in size, but not ROOMIER.

I need to make sure my golden retriever can fit in the back

I've driven the E but not the C. Definitely a step up from my old bmw.

10.1" wider? I'm not sure what that's a typo of, but the C Sedan is 69.7" wide VS the E Coupe being 70.3" wide. Not a big difference and easily attainable by either widening the body panels a bit and pushing the wheels out further via wider tracks, which of course gives a nicer stance on the road, regardless.

The C Sedan has a length of 180.4" VS the E Coupe at 185". HOWEVER, the extra length of the Coupe is only in the overhangs, which IMO hamper its proportions, as to me true length is attained by the wheelbase, how far the wheels are pushed toward the edges of the car, i.e shrinking the overhangs as much as possible. That also allows the extra length to be functional in terms of roominess, whereas the E Coupe won't benefit from VS the C Sedan.

Both cars ride on an identical 108.7" wheelbase.

Edit: Just realized this is about the C Coupe VS the E Coupe. You're talking about cars with identical wheelbases, and tweaked overhangs and rooflines to make one appear longer and of course actually be sleeker than the other (E Coupe). Interior roominess should be about identical even with the "E"'s probable wider track to squeeze out a little bit more exterior width.

The big difference will be seating positions, as I'm assuming the E Coupe will follow its sleeker roof with a lower seating position. The C Coupe isn't very sleek and I'm assuming it'll have a more upright seating position (didn't pay attention via the two) and maybe more headroom due to higher roofline.

I'm not a huge fan of either but to me at least the "E" Coupe is worthy of the M-B Coupe tradition. The C Coupe to me looks absolutely downmarket and could carry a $22K price tag and wear a Honda badge and I wouldn't think twice. That unsexy greenhouse and fat horrible singular door frame just don't compete with the "E Coupe"s much more elegant setup in those areas.

Oddly enough, however, I find the interior layout of the C Coupe to be perhaps better.

Yes...the E is 10.1 inches wider from the specs pages on MBUSA. I had suggested that the OP move this to the C207 forum in the hopes that we could avoid another one of K-A's bombastic useless opinions. Too late!!!

The E is significantly better looking and more exclusive. If price isn't the issue, i cant understand what there is to think about.

From MBUSA.com. The top number in each category is the C Coupe and the bottom number is the E Coupe.

One is not 10" wider than the other. This was an old MB mistake, when they originally provided the specs. for one model with the side mirrors included and failed to do that with the other model. They have since corrected that, as you can see by the below stats.

Sorry they copied for me from the website in this clumsy format. If you wish to see all the many comparison stats for the two models or any other models properly positioned side by side, try this link:

Please note these are for 2013 models. Don't know what they will be for the 2014 models.

Use your eyes. There's no way you designed cars if you think the E Coupe was TEN inches wider. Yeah GM design sounds right. Go back to criticizing me for being expressive or right, you're at least better at that.

It has been stated on this forum multiple times that "The E-coupe is apparently built upon the C-Class chassis" Identical wheelbase and similar width, height. Hmmm, could be true.
