Need info re.replacement grill & hood badge

Have 2012 W212 Sport that I want to convert to "STAR" grill.Questions

oem grill does not have mesh behind. It appears that aftermarket grills do have mesh behind horizontal bars & star. How come? Is there replacement grill available without mesh ala oem?

2nd question: will need hood badge to replace oem star badge. What replacement do you recommend?

ps my car is BLACK.

I think , mesh is considered something like icing on a cake this is why aftermarket products go after that add-on

For the replacement hood star logo , I think you should try your X204 GLK's recessed hood logo , it should fit right away

Understand your solution on the badge;but what do I do to replace the empty spot on the hood of the GLK? Don't need a second star there. I know sources for badges but was interested in which particular badge would look the best on my car. Thx.

I have have been more explicit ,so buy a brand new recessed hood logo in same size as your X204 and put it right there .I have not measured it up but they look same in exterior diameter
Other solution is ebay or vendors in here and you can find a vast variety of options from AMG to Carlsson
