on my leisurely drive home tonight all of sudden the following errors pop up!
ESP, Distronic and blind spots all inoperable? Its only Day 10!!!!
Taking the car back to the dealer tomorrow. Anyone see this before?

 

I have never heard of it. I am sure you won't have a problem per sake. Even 2007 model would not have issue like that! You car is well built and designed.

 

I've seen it several times in 2+ years...all of them being during ugly weather (snow,slush,ice,heavy rain).

 

Happened to me once. Stopped at a gas station and driving off from there the system bogged down. All functions of the radar systems went inoperable. Stopped and turned OFF the car and re-started. No problem since. This happened about 5 months ago.

 

I have randomly seen this from time to time, also in bad weather or right after a car washing.

Protect your interests and have the dealer look at it, never know if these things will return.

 

Yes, that's a rare and random thing for my 2011 E550. I've had it happen after washing, on the road with a lot of big bugs (grasshoppers) smacking the front end, and a couple occasions with no apparent things going on, once out in the desert in Utah.

There is some suggestion that the "radar" could be getting confusing signals from environmental electronic noise, or that bugs could be making screwball radar targets, and the computer sees the confusion and says, "Whoa, lets shut this thing down 'cause it doesn't know what's going on!"

 

never had anything like that occur, at least it didn't leave you stranded somewhere which is what I thought of when I read the thread title.......
get those dealer monkeys on it!
