I have the MB racks for my 2011 E350. I carry the large roof cargo container sometimes. I believe in buying things as a "system" because they are engineered to work together.
The racks/cargo container are speed limited when empty at 110 MPH. Driving across country with the container full at + highway speeds, I had no worries. The racks can be used for bikes, snow boards, etc. No issues with radio/nav reception to worry about. No issues with noise. They were slightly noiser than without, but not much.

windshield and cause the headlamps to come on? mine does that.....
kind of annoying, but then again, I have not actually taken the thing anywhere but home from the dealer, but I agree, the parts go together well
