Si(350BTC nce I can't find what I want (350BTC loaded). I figure I'll order a 250 4matic, drive it as my main car for 135k miles or so then (once the electronic nannies start failing and the CPO warranty expires) I'll order the latest and greatest E (probably an E100 8matic by then) and relegate the 250 to the workhorse category.
I'm thinking luxury (unless one can easily sway front grills), P1, Driver assistance, Parktronic, folding seats, lighting package. I'd get white exterior with brown leather.
Any thoughts? My plan is to lease with multiple security deposits, then get it CPO'd and buy it out - asuming that it had few issues.
Any suggestions?

That looks like a good plan and a good build, I would add the Pano roof and the active multi-contour drivers seat as those are two of the must-have's for me.
Why are you planning to lease and buy it out? Why not just a straight purchase?

I'll have to run the numbers when I get the car and decide then if it makes financial sense to lease or buy. If buying makes more sense then I'll just bank the difference for any out of warranty repairs.
Yes, the multi-contour seat is a must and the Pano roof is nice but how does the sunscreen normally break? Because if it breaks out of warranty I doubt that I'd get it fixed. I'd like the additional light but I never actually open it - I just slide the screen back.
Thanks

for me the amg package was a must, all the other wheel options looked terrible. i also wanted the gray inside trim instead of the brown with the black interior. P1 was enough, P2 would have been nice but its plenty nice of a car for me.

I'm thinking loaded E250 Luxury as well. I don't want the pano roof either. Dealers never order them loaded, so I'm sure I'll have to order mine. But I want to drive one first. I wonder when they'll start hitting dealer inventory.

The lease is the only way I can figure out that will allow me to CPO it. With the CPO extension that should give me 135k of known costs.

Why do you need to CPO it? It cost money to CPO it. Just buy the MBUSA extended warranty. For 7 YR 100K mile its $2,880 and for 7 YR 135K miles its around $3,700
I think the pricing works out the same warranty price wise. You would save more money just buying the car outright no?

I've not been too impressed with adaptive headlights in previous cars (cool feature that breaks easily but doesn't really contribute to visibility) but the adaptive highbeams would be nice.
The basic question though is this - "on a dark straight road, do both lighting systems produce the same range?"

The adaptive high beam works seamlessly you hardly notice that it is doing its thing but it does..on a dark road they are on high beam and very quickly switch off of high beam as soon as another vehicle comes on the scene..you gotta try then to see

I think the LED technology on the "LED Package" headlights are also superior, at least if solely due to the fact that they're housed in both aesthetically and functionally superior projector units rather than reflector units. Based on the M-B comparison pics of both, you can see the LED Package/projector LED's shine a more concise, focused light while the reflector LED's seemed to comparatively "spray" more.
Other than the tech, they really look better as the non "LED Package" headlights just look like basic halogen headlights when off to me.
However, considering people would always get P1 halogen cars over P2 HID cars already, when the P2 Package offered so much bang for the buck even beyond the HID's, and now the standard headlights already have LED's, It's gonna be hard for M-B to convince people to get an "LED Package" when they already have "LED's".

The current F10 now also has an LED option now too.
Yes, the adaptive high beams are cool technology and may be worth the price of admission.
