Like everyone else has said, just press the ECO button. The delay on the start up is instant, as soon as you start taking your foot off the brake the engine starts up.

If you're planning on having fun, disable it by pushing the ECO button.

 

We were in the same boat as you. Dealer wasn't budging more than 5%. We ended up shopping a few more dealers via phone/email and eventually got the 10.6'ish%. Took that back and we ended up getting a little over $8,000 off MSRP.

 

$8k off is great, I'm at $7k off, but I was also negotiating with a trade in.

I laughed at the stealerships telling me they'd give me $500 off MSRP, or I could walk -- LOL, this ain't an ancient relic, it's a hunk of steel with a 3 pointed star on the front!

 

Well, I am being offered $1000 below invoice(that was this week) but that is based on the USAA discount coupon online. I checked today on the website and now the discount coupon is even larger so that means that I should be at $2000 below invoice.

MSRP base model is $61,400
Invoice base model is $57,102
so.. $57,102 minus $2000= $55,102 (not including tax , registration or delivery destination).

As far is tax, I am saving approximately $3000 on tax on my trade because I am trading a car worth $30000 and paid off. As per registration, I am in the military so is only $10 instead of like $1000 plus.

It should come down to about $58.5 OTD (base model with no options)

 

How do you guys get these huge $7000 and $8000 discounts? are you guys bringing a lady with high heels, red lipstick and big ***** to the dealer?

Don't go in to a dealer to negotiate. I negotiated all via email. Got one offer from a dealer, and then used that as the baseline for another... then used theirs for another until I got the deal we were happy with.

Exactly what I love about it. Rustic looking, but also thought it gave it a more sporty feel with the brushed aluminum underneath it.

 

Are those the "base" 18 AMG rims that come with the car?

Well the first thing I noticed is the nice OEM drop with the base 18's and the spring suspension. It looks perfect, and from the photos looks like the rims are 19's.

The pano roof on white is a classic combination -- an effect not really seen on any other color IMHO.

 

Great choice! That is one nice car. I love the new front and the CLS dash.

Good choice! You won't be disappointed...of our friends that have seen the car, the wood is one of the first things they comment on.

 

I was initially a little concerned with how the 18's would look in the wheel well but yea, the drop is perfect.

The pano is fun, the screens actually do keep out quite a bit of light when they are closed. A little contrary to what the dealer told us.

 

They changed the panorama shade to be a mesh where some light comes through. On my previous E320, the shade was completely opaque.

I really like the mesh. Gives you a more roomy feeling but still keeps the brightness and heat out.

I like start/stop. Works great in the ML. Only complaint is it doesn't shut the engine down every time when you expect it.
