I had discarded the idea of another e when my lease is up (december), mulling over a 535i or an A6/7 as it's replacement. Today, I had some time so I test drove the e350 sport and, for the first time, an e550, albeit, it was a convertible...they had no 4 door 550's. All I can say is wow....the 550 is a completely different car....not as smooth riding as my 2011 e350BT, but incredible response irrespective of being economy or sports mode.

I tried to get an idea of what the car might cost on a lease and I got sales blah blah....essentially, order what you want and we'll work it out which is pure garbage. When pushed they gave me a lease with all the profit packs (which I didn't ask for) and assuming a low credit score....incredibly poor discussion with their current sales manager.

Oh well...I have time....if we don't work it out, I'll just buy from a different dealer.

"T.H." as well as "jdh", probably both do not realize that the above "change" took place for 2010 W212 introduction (yes it was changed from "jdh"s previous W211 generation that kept the daylight out, but it also kept the heat out which W212's mesh does not).
