A couple of questions to occupy ourselves with until we see the official launch,

1) What will be the badging of the Bluetec with 4matic? E250 BlueTec to the left and 4Matic to the right on the deck lid?

2) what are the stock wheels? Same as for the 2014 E350 or something different?

Badging is e250 to the left, the rest to the right.

Stock wheels are the 17" with run-flats. You can see them on the 350 build mbusa.

no thank you.
I am sure that some marketing type decided that might sound good after the design was finalized and probably in production.

They played the same game with the GLK250 Buyers. They promise more than they deliver!

Speaking of the GLK, We did test drive that model and were sufficiently satisfied with its performance (with 4matic I might add). It was the seat comfort that made us balk at it. We have ventilated multicontours with driver side massage on order.

Head over to the Diesel SUV board. A couple of threads about it there. Cars sitting at the port while they waited for the "Official" release announcement. Took weeks.

I'm picking mine up from the factory. Invoice says 13 September, Friday would be a very good guess for official launch.

Of course, I'm not sure how to read a friday-the-13th release.... I'm thinking that's like anti-bad-karma karma?

Congrats! Yes, I expect the release if sometime later this week. They had to give Dieter some airtime in Frankfurt introducing the new S-Class at the auto show first. http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/...98913H20130910

Don't forget about us once you get it. Hoping for some detailed specs and such.

Besides, Resale should be better on the 4matic in the long run, not that I ever plan on selling it. I like to run them in the ground. My first Benz, was a "baby" 190E 2.3 that I finally put out to pasture after 20 years and over 333K miles. It was a gasser, but a good car.
