Anyone Else Have This Happen - SIRIUS and Traffic

I have a Sirius music subscription for my car and used to have traffic as well. Stopped the traffic about a year ago since it seemed inconsistent in my area.
Since that time I've had three or four instances where the traffic feature would all of a sudden show up and last for a few days to a week, and then it would disappear. I've noticed this about every two or three months apart.
Anyone else have this happen to them?

They are probably trying to get you back with some free samples.

I have experienced similiar situations. When my car would come back from the dealership my XM would work for approx 2 months.

I have had this happen with weather, since I subscribe to traffic already. I always enjoy free samples.

hmmm, have not had that happen, then again, I never periodically check to see if it has returned......
I can hear the same songs over and over again on my CD player too, but the traffic did come in handy a couple of times......

Yeah, thought so. I'd go for it if it would be consistent in my area. Been times when I'm standing still on the 405 fwy and the darn thing shows green lines.

"...Same songs..."
I hear ya! I have a fairly diverse music interest and bounce around to other music or some of the comedy channels, or even listen to NFL when I'm missing a game during the season. I don't have "thousands" of mp3's like some nor the time/interest to collect them, so it seems to work for me....at least for now. Also, I can no longer listen to regular over the air channels as the ads drive me friggin bananas!

Thanks guys!

Same boat here. It's been on for the last 2 months with traffic and everything else. When they give you free samples they make sure they also send junk mail to your address asking if you are enjoying the free stuff and whether you want to subscribe. It usually does not involve traffic. In my previous ML it stayed activated for the whole time. Maybe a welcome glitch on their systems :-)

I was wondering why my service was back. My free period expired a few months ago.

In my case, i got traffic and the radio stations.

They lit up all service for a week which ended last night.
I just renewed mine for $30 bucks for 6 months premier plan after I called to cancel

Traffic info is useless in Los Angeles ... that's what Waze app is for.

MY last car I paid nothing for two years of XM radio. Just when my free subscription would end I would contact customer service and report that I had problems accessing radio and traffic 1/3 of the time and they would give me another 6mo/1 year free. I would tell them that I would like to subscribe but the reception was terrible and that I would like to continue to evaluate. They would ask what it would take if I would like to continue to evaluate. I would tell them give me another 6mo and like to ensure I got steady service. But you guessed it, I never did (so they thought).

Funny, but yes that happens to me off and on-- never more than a day at a time.

The free sample usually comes around the holiday time I noticed...the last one started around Labor Day weekend and i found the traffic report very helpful as I was on road trip...good strategy for Sirius..
