2010 E550 Lowering Question

I am in the market for a 2010 E550 and not very familiar with how the Oem air suspension works. I want to eventually lower the car 2 inches on all 4 corners. How can I achieve that with the most cost effective way? I heard of the renntech module but it doesn't appear you can adjust the lowering more than an inch or so.

Thanks in advance

I think KW have module for OEM air suspension which works great.

I have the Renntech v3 module and you can slam the car in the weeds with it, if you want. I am set at 1.76" front and 1.30" rear on 20" wheels and it looks real low. Highly recommend the v3, its awesome.

I agree with RobbieRob. I have the Renntech V3 Lowering module and chose it because of the versatility and ease of use. I have mine lowered 1.25" in front and 1.15" in the rear with my 19" Brabus Monoblock VIs.

The E550's Airmatic suspension with the Renntech V3 gives you the best of both worlds, better handling and corner-turning while lowered, while maintaining an OEM ride.

Then, when you want to raise it back to stock (or something close to it), you can customized it down to a tee.

The OP said cost effective. An ELM is not cost effective IMO. That being said ELM is the way to go, I have the LoMo M1, I can lower or raise the car whenever and as much or little as I want through the IC (convenient and easy).
Lowering link is the most effective way. Search this forum for "links" and you should find numerous threads about them.
If your dealership is nice you may even be able to lower via Star for free or very cheap.

I would be happy with 1.5-2 inches.

Can you elaborate in lowering via Star? Is that something Mercedes can do? If so I should include that in my deal. Would the Air suspension go down to 2inches? I
would be happy with 1.5-2 inches.

Star / DAS / Xentry refers to a diagnostic system used to interface with MB vehicles. That said, 1.5 - 2 inch drop is not possible with xentry. You need to stay within certain parameters and 1.5 is too aggressive.

I have the 2013.3 xentry system and was only able to get a 1 inch drop. Ended up using links from eBay to set 1 inch base line drop ( capable of going much lower) and use xentry to fiddle with height from there. The links were 160 shipped from the UK. Xentry was 1300.00 cloned from china.

Ride quality is perfect - not a single complaint.
Hope this helps! Enjoy the ride.

Thanks for the info everyone. Very much appreciated. You mentioned 1.5inch drop is very aggressive. Can anyone share some pics of their drop? I am used to 2inches in my previous car and maybe the W212 don't need a big drop. But some pics will br great to compare.
