I've waste 150 Uk pounds for CommandOnline.uk to tell me what this thread has, less specific actually and still I dont have paddles.. Three of my local dealers weren't able to code and activate my paddles for my 2008 c300 w204 and I'm pissed, they said the transmission isnt letting them code ?? The other said the car isn't allowed to have retrofit and the last one I lost it at them because they told me that it is an impossible task... Also I do not recommend CommandOnline.uk, they were of very little help for the money I paid them and all they told me is basicly what this forum said, they didn't even bother calling one of my dealers for an appointment and when I try calling them, they dont answer me, very displeased but what I'm more pissed about is the time I've wasted at 3 different dealer and still no damn paddles..

2014 Mercedes C350 Coupe
Well I just went to the dealer to ask about this. They told me I needed tons of hardware changes as well as software changes, so it was not possible to retrofit this into my car. Ugh dealers.

So, its impossible to have them do it for you. They will find some excuses not to do it. lol
I was getting those tools. but i need to finalize my custom tune first.
Still some things needs to be addressed.
Then, ill get tools and do it myself.
You will need C4, Vediamo and a laptop

Hi,
My car is 2008 c300 sport. I am going to add code 428 + 950 but my local dealer told me that I also need to have code 277 in order to have both paddle shifter and "M" mode working properly. Anyone can tell me if I do need to add code 277 as well?
Thanks

Hey guys.
I just added "M" mode yesterday on my 2013 E550 4matic. I did not add any codes to the VeDoc but just manually variant coded the transmission with Vediamo.
My original variant code was z2y5. The new code that added "M" mode is z2y7. I just thought i would share that in case any one could use that info.

Please check your user manual for a detailed description of the "M"-mode. On non-AMG-cars (E63 / CLS63 / C63) this mode does:
However, it gives you 100% control over the gearbox between idle and redline without unwanted up- or downshifts and you are still able to get maximum downshift when commanding a kickdown for safety reasons.
Costs: Well, it depends. As this mod is not officially certified by Mercedes, one can not find it in any pricelist. Therefore it is up to the dealer IF they do it and how much they are going to charge. My dealer billed me less then 50 € to code "M"-Mode, code Homelink to my VeDOC (which I retrofitted) and to install an electronic vehicle log.
- upshift on redline
- downshift when RPM reaches idle
- downshift when going beyond the kickdown-poin

Hello,
some of you might be interested in retrofitting manual shift mode in one of the following models:
and maybe a lot more.
All your car requires: the colored DIC / Speedometer.
http://youtu.be/01mJQFgwMaE
In order to enable the manual mode your dealer has to add two or three codes in your VeDOC. After doeing that, After doing that, he has to SCN-code your gearbox AND your Driver Information Center.
The result (acceleration from 0 to 159mph - yes, I switched my DIC to mph just for you guys - and at ~0:45min acceleration at WOT in Manual mode - 4th gear and NO downshifting even if going WOT without Kickdown).

If the car has code 952 sport pkg originally. Do I need to remove code 952 when I add 950 AMG sport pkg ?
Is code 277 needed for the car is originally equipped with 3 spoke steering wheel?
Do I need both 277 and 952 in order to enable M-mode or just 950 ?
Looking forward to any response
