How is the fitment to the E-class?
In my car the sports "rectangular" tip connects to the tail pipe in the middle of it. In the pictures it shows tail pipe connects to the middle of the outside half of it.
I just wonder how these will fit the E-class sports model?

its not connected to the pipe, our W212 exhaust tip is connected to the bumper with bolt so how it will fit is with strap on or connect it to the stock pipe. correct me if im wrong.. haha

Do you have any pictures with what you are referring to? In my experience, when modifying the stock diffuser or replacing the diffuser with aftermarket styles, the opening becomes larger towards the center. These tips allow for a smoother installation without having to add more bends to the stock exhaust pipe exiting the muffler. Assuming you are only swapping your exhaust tips, the shop will cut your existing tips off and simply weld the new ones on (of couse, with modification of the diffuser to allow sufficient space for the new tips). Hope that answers your question.

It sounds like you don't know how the exhaust tips are built on the W212 sports model...and you sell replacement that you claim is easy to install.
It is not as the tail pipe should come in the middle between the two openings and not like you have it. Who the hell would replace the diffuser in the rear just to get your tips to fit?

i have these installed on my 2010 W212 E200.
E200 has dual exhaust on the left side of the car only. I replaced my stock exhaust with Sebring quad exhaust, and bought these tips to replace the Sebring round tips. Installation is not all that easy to be honest.
There are several versions of this E63 AMG tips. One as shown in this thread, the other I have seen has the connection more in the center - which is probably a better choice for the US W212 E350 owners.

If I see how a guide on how these are installed on US w212 E350, I'll get a set for sure. It would be nice if it replaced the tailpipe and was functional rather than just a diffuser replacement, which would be a difficult and custom install.

What a piece of crap!
Obviously not correct stainless steel under the probably very thin chrome layer.
Thanks for posting so rest of us know what not to get.
...You get what you pay for...

After seeing the rusty pictures I would not touch this stuff with a 10 ft pole.
I see the supplier has sent a PM to trif-romeo and they promise to make it good. Well, to make it good probably means to give him new tips.
The problem with the part is that they obviously do not use correct steel that they make the tips of. There are multitude of stainless steels to choose from and the rusty pictures tell that they are not using the correct one. They use some lower grade steel, which is cheaper, of course.
Now, to make it last a bit longer is to add thicker chrome layer on it. It will take a little longer for the corrosion to come thru the chrome layer but in time it will. Only using the correct steel grade will stop this and I don't believe that will be changed. If it is the price of the part will go up.
Chrome layer is filled with microscopic cracks that go thru the layer and when the layer is very thin the base metal corrosion comes thru it very fast, like in this case. Adding thickness to the layer makes the cracks deeper, of course, and it will be more difficult for the "environment" to penetrate to the bottom of the crack, i.e. to the base metal and corrode it but it will happen unless non-corroding base metal is used.

Arrie,
While I would agree your statements are generally true of stainless steel material, I don't feel it is true of this product. This is only the second instance to my knowledge that this has happened to one of my customers. I do feel that the tips I offer are of great quality and yes, I am offering the customer a replacement set. I also do suggest, similar to almost any other product, that general maintenance and cleaning will help ensure longevity.

Especially when these tips are replicas?

You are trying to drag me in this s**t with your cheap mods now as you make your mods to look very cheap with that AMG badge. Without it is ok with me and I think with some others.
Should we now kill this thread too?
