SOMETHING STILL RUNNING
When I turn off my new 2014 E350 sport in the morning after going just a short distance for the morning paper I notice there is some sort of motor or fan still running for quite some time be for it stops.
It seems like it only happens until the car is warmed up, then it doesn't do it anymore.
Has anyone else noticed this?

pretty sure it's the AC and if so it's normal. It alarmed me at first as it seemed louder than it should but when I asked around others had the same experience.

I saw someone else out here a few months back with the same observation. Mechanic told him the condensation from the AC drips into a pan and the fan blows to evaporate it. Mechanic disabled the fan for him and then his car smelled awful a few weeks later.

Sometimes when I open any door, I hear some kind of pump motor in the back of the vehicle run through a cycle, then shut off. It's a very busy car.

Yup, that was me -- 2k14 E550 .. AC evap fan .. confirmed at the dealership -- this car makes all sorts of weird noises when off, more than any other car I've ever owned.
