Where to start negotiation on a new 2013 E350 BlueTec?
Father was going to buy a 2014 E250 BlueTec, test drove it and realized its been castrated and has no power... So now he is looking to buy a new 2013 E350 BlueTec to replace his W211 CDI.
Any suggestions on where to start negotiations on a new (old) 2013? Is the invoice price ordering guide available? How much below MSRP/Invoice would be a good price considering the 2014 are being sold already?
Thx!!

I too did the same by getting a 2013 E350BT rather than the 2014 E250BT.
The 2013 E350BT is fully loaded and has basically the same interior as the 2014.
It comes with the leather interior and mbtex dash with stitching as standard.
At the time I got mine I got around $10k off MSRP and 0% financing for 5years.
Recently I was given a 2014 E250BT as a loaner while my E350BT was in for service and must say I have no regrets.
I'll wait too the next model change to see if a v6 E350BT is available.
If not I'd probably get an A6 TDI or 535d.
You should be able to get even better deals now that the E250BT is here.
Good luck.

When I drove the E250BT I didn't find it lacking in power but did find the 4 cylinder engine sound a bit loud or coarse and when you're outside with the car in idle the Diesel knocking sound is more evident than in the E350BT. There's nothing wrong with that just a personal preference.
I wish M-B would give the option for one to order the new 6 cylinder BT in the GL/ML in the 2014 E class.
When I optioned out the E250BT to what I have in my E350BT it comes up to over $77K + sales tax! That's a bit too much considering it's a 4 cylinder engine but I would buy it if it has the same BT engine as the new GL/ML.
I hope that M-B will offer this in the next model change.
The 250 BT engine will be perfect in the B and C class.

Spare Tire?
I'm very interested in knowing your driving range per tank for the E250BT.

No spare tire included in the E250BT.
My E350BT and ML350BT all didn't have spare tire too.
Not a big issue so far

Anyway, just hit 1,000 miles on her. Getting ~32-33 MPGs in mixed driving. However, my experience is probably a bit faster than the average American's-- 50 mile round-trip commute daily, with 1/2 being city/country ~40-60 MPH, the other 1/2 autobahn, 90-110 MPH on average.
I'm pretty pleased so far. It is definitely louder and growlier than the 350, but my other vehicle is a V8 Jeep Grand Cherokee, so I'm fine with the noise.

Sorry for the length in reply...

Surprised that the FE is similar to the E350BT.
I was expecting the E250BT to get high 30s MPG.
Perhaps it'll improve as you put in more miles.
