Rear AMG package related question

Hi fellow Benz enthusiasts.

I ordered today the new W212 E300 BluTec Hybrid with an AMG package.

I love the overall look of the car, what I do not like, however, is that metallic part that goes from one exhaust tip to the other.

Photo:

I asked the car dealer if there was any chance of not mounting that part, but he said there was no chance of doing so. When AMG assembles a body kit, they go all the way.

My question to you guys is if there is any chance of dismounting that very part when the car arrives, leaving the exhaust tips alone, or if that part is assembled in a way you just can't remove it easily.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

The luxury version has a different configuration than the sport version, but the E400 isn't a true AMG. That said, I would take it to a tint shop for a black vinyl wrap to make the chrome "disappear".

Yeah, I only uploaded that E400 image because it has the very same chrome as the E300. And btw, that was a great tip! I thought about getting rid of it, but didn't consider changing its color. Nice idea!

What are the main differences between these models with an AMG package, and those true AMGs like the E63? Style wise, because performance is obvious lol.

Thanks for the useful reply!

Thanks, BenzV12, for posting it.

IMO, wrapped in vinyl looks way better. I'm so going to do that.
BTW, is that trunk spoiler part of the AMG package, or is it an extra?

Thank you!

You're welcome, you can buy that trunk spoiler solely but when you buy the whole E63 kit ,I believe it comes with everything

We only get to see the rear, but they look pretty much the same... If there's no improved performance, only body kit, 10,000 seems way too much. Depends how deep the wallet goes, but if one can afford an e63, he probably can afford the AMG S package as well lol.

Yeah. Depending on the price, I guess I'll get that one too. It looks very nice indeed.
