Red flags?

I am still on the market for a 2012 E350. I found a non CPO 2012 E with only 3000 something miles for 43k. Carfax seems clean but the car has been transferred in Florida, Virginia, and now in Cali. Is it a great deal or just too good to be true?

Not that great a deal, and, with only 7K miles left on the original warranty, I would personally would want it to be CPO, to have the 100K mile assurance. Just my 2 cents.

Why is it only 7k miles left on the warranty? The original MB warranty is 4 years or 50k miles. this car has only 3k on it, so it should have 47k left on the original warranty. Since it's less than 1.5 years since original sale date, it still has over 2.5 years left of the original warranty.

Sorry, I saw the 43K and thought it was miles. My mistake. With only 3k miles on it, that certainly makes it a better deal than what I first thought, but, I think you could still do better.

What's up with that? Why would anyone transport a medium value used car across the country for sale CPO or not it still has years and miles of warranty remaining so it would be hard to get burned. I don't see anything special with the price though unless it has max options that you want.

2012 e350
is this the white one with the light brown interior? from my experience in california the light brown/orange leather color significantly lowers the price of the car in this region. i was told they typically sit on the lot for a while until the price is right.

What "service" was done at 2k miles and what "belt or tensioner" was replaced in California.

CARFAX is generally useless and I would never trust it except when it shows derogatory information. I've had several vehicles with significant bodywork (two deer, one was rear-ended) and now - even years later - the CARFAX is still clean.

There has to be a reason for someone to trade a car with 3k miles.

Not looking to demean the OP, and maybe it's just me being a little too cautious here, but I don't understand with so many CPO W212s on the market why someone would buy one elsewhere. There are a ton of RWD and 4matic cars available (some BT's, yet not as many). Unless a buyer is looking at a car that is extremely unique in its build/color scheme, etc, I just think there's a lot of gamble there in a non CPO car. Also, my understanding is that the car doesn't qualify for the MB extended warranty if purchased from a non-MB dealer (this may not be a deal breaker for some).

Just my $0.02. I wish the OP much luck in their search and decision.

Thanks for all the feedback. The car is sold so my search continues. The reason why I considered a non CPO is that I am looking for 2012 w212. There are a lot of 2011 and 2010 w212s but probably less than forty 2012 CPO e350s in Cali, so I had to broaden my serach by considering a non CPO. I was going to LA from bay area to look at that car. Also, I do like that white exterior and tan interior combo. I think I might just have wait for the perfect car. Hopefully I see more 2012 models beginning of next year.

Check this one out: 2013 E350 P2 - with 18k Miles. Just came up.

Didn't look into it - just saw a quick ad on this car.
