gap insurance

Most leases include gap insurance if your car is stolen or totaled. Apparently Mercedes leases don't!!! I just discovered that they offer it as a separately priced item: https://www.daimlerinsurance.com/fcgap.html

Am I the only one who didn't know this (and I have a mercedes on lease)???

I didn't know that either. But check with your Car insurance carrier because mine covers it (just a little extra).

If you notice that website mentions loan payoff not lease payoff. I'm pretty sure the lease from MB has GAP included at no additional cost. Loans never include GAP by default and I found it cheaper to get it from your insurance company than from the bank. It's about $20/year for me and you only need it for the first 3 years or less.
