Help with possible purchase
So...I currently own a 2010 Camaro SS with 12K on it. It's a blast to drive. We also have a 2012 grand cherokee and a 2012 cruze. I have been looking for a clean used W212 for quite some time and came across a 2011 W212 Sport with 42K on it, P1, 4Matic for 30 grand. My wife and I just had a baby and I think the Camaro will all but sit for the next calendar year, so I thought to trade the Cruze and the Camaro on the Benz.
So, that said...will i be happy with this thing for my daily driver? Any issues? Any thoughts on the miles being high for the price?
OH..and I'm due to get the car tomorrow, but I'm having cold feet about getting out of my SS, but it just sits and collects dust in the winter.
Thanks!

That doesn't sound to bad but is it a 350 or 550? It doesn't sound to bad of a price for even the lower 350. But it is getting close to the warranty running out. I would look for one with lower miles (I like warranties). You are trading speed (SS) for comfort (W212). If its speed and family sedan you want, go look at a used E63 real quick before you buy. I bet you will never miss that old Chevy!

The E-class is a great daily commuter. If you can swing it have a look at an E550, too. I can tell you my wife has been driving a E class as a daily driver since 2008 and she loves it. I just bought mine last weekend and I love it.

Its a 350 4Matic Sport Premium 1. I think the numbers are right I am just concerned with the miles. Since it is CPO it has warranty until 4/2016 which is pretty cool! Plus MB covers the first two payments. Can't beat that!
I'd like the E63 but don't want to spend the money and need AWD. E550 4Matics aren't easy to come by around here either.

Thanks for everyone's help! I'm just torn, I'm attached to the Camaro. It's been a riot. It's strong, a great looking car, but it's not practical at all. The Benz will give me fun (albeit subdued) and great looks.

Don't have cold feet, you will love it! You can't go wrong with the price or miles. Last month I paid close to $39k for a CPO 2010 E350 4Matic w/33k miles!
But if you can get your hands on a E550 I would try to shoot for that. But either way you will be happy with which ever.

My SS has been such a fun summer car! I just worry that I'll miss it, big time.

We had numerous E350's for us and others in my family. You can tweak it and add a few personal touches and the valet will still park it up front to show off. Don't worry, its a great car.

Congrats on your new baby! Hey once you get behind the cabin of your Eclass you'll forget about everything else! What color combo?
I could imagine you can have loads of fun in the snow with your RWD Camaro SS! If you still have it I'll go outside have my last bit of fun with it!

So...Today is D-Day. Weather broke enough to get the SS out of the garage. I feel terrible trading the Camaro. It's gorgeous, clean, no miles, modified and fun as hell. It's also completely impractical and expensive to keep in my garage.
Will i REALLY love this EClass? I drove it and i LOVED it but i need to continue loving it. I'm such a car junkie that this is weird for me to get rid of such a fun summer car....in Pittsburgh.

One of my neighborhood houses has the new Camaro SS and one morning he happened to back out from his drive way right in front of me. When we got on the highway 1/4 miles later he smoked it and I stayed right at his rear bumper with my 2010 E550.
Don't fool yourself. The E350 is a very nice daily driver and a safe one at that but it is not a sports car. You will regret if you go with that.
What you need is an E550 4Matic, period.
You can get E550 with similar mileage and options (if you find one) paying only $5000 - $6000 more and with that you will be happy to have a car that serves all your needs.
Go to MBUSA and search CPO inventory and if the car is a distance from you do not let that keep you from getting the car. You can go get it from whatever distance or you can have it shipped to your dealer.
Edit: Seems my reply came a bit too late. Enjoy your new ride!

Do you have any reliability advice? I'm terrified the car will fall apart. Thats what MB detractors say.
Obviously GM's are cheap to fix and maintain
