2012 CLS550, 2014 E350 C,2010 E350 Sport - sold, 2006 CL500 -SOLD, 2006 E350 - SOLD - 2006 Saab 9.3
$1,095 is not the CA standard
Hi,
The acquisition fee varies by CA dealers and just recently I was quoted a range of $795 upwards to $1,195 for a recent 2014 E350 C.
Long Beach was $1,195
Keyes was $1,095
FJ was $895
Hoehn was $795
I've purchase and leased 5 Mercedes since 2006 and have always seen a range for this fee

$15K isn't a big deal on a fire-sale car like this. The W212 is THE most discounted, whored-out car I've ever seen. Good for the consumer/buyer and especially good for those who like the overall package. Right now deals are getting RIDICULOUS on them so don't pull any punches when negotiating.

You guys need to look around, they're out there and being attained. $15K on a W212 is very doable, members have posted on this board getting better than that.
One of many super low prices I've seen on these cars. I got over $10K off in the middle of 2011 when deals weren't even as aggressive on these cars as they are now.

Give M-B Calabasas a call as they're the ones who sent me that Email. See the full terms of the $339 car as I'm sure it has to be at least $15K off. Like I said before, I wouldn't settle for less than 20% on an E350 during Holiday season, and you can get it, just gotta be aggressive and call around. Use the $15K discount as a base line and call competing dealers saying that "I got $15K off of a $63K E350 from xxx dealer, can you beat that"? I found that strategy worked really well when I was cross shopping BMW's.

I like new S payment. I was reading S forum but it looks like S guys are insane going to pay over 15 hundred a month. I am pretty sure here is a room to negotiate S pay close to high 800s. I am glad to see how affordable MB is now. So BMW will have soon very hard time. And I am just guessing what kind of fools still buy Audi?
Any idea about XJ pay? I want to stay apart of crowd and take XJ, but have no idea what they cost now.

That's a 27 month lease with $3500 down and 5 at this price.
That's very likely not a 63k msrp car. It's more like a 54k car.
And that looks like a 2k cap reduction which is $75/mo so more like a $415 payment . Which is consistent with a 12k discount. And that is only for 5 cars on the lot which they'll likely tell you are already gone ...
It's a great deal nonetheless. But it's important to remember it's just an ad. Remains to be seen if anyone gets that deal.
Also, the post was about FJ. And I can tell you for a fact that FJ would NOT make that deal. I'd bet the difference

I, for one, find your continual criticism of the 2014 E Class rather tiresome.
Only just two years ago, you were extolling the wonderfulness of your then new 2011 E350 !!!
The new E Class is currently outselling the 5 Series by over 3000 units per month in the United States !!! Maybe it's because MB is offering a better product and better value for the dollar ?

I don't believe FJ would do $15K either, but when I heard from a friend it was possible and someone DID get $15K, that made me kind of irritated.
Would you post or PM me how you know for a "FACT" that FJ would not make that deal? I'm curious to know how you can be THAT sure about it. Your facts would make me feel alot better knowing that my friend was miss-informed or lying.

Walnut Creek MB sent me quotes of straight up 20% off a couple of the cars. One was in the $61.6K range and other in the $58K range. The $61K was quoted around $49.3K and the other one for $47K.

You left coasters have me very Intrested in the prices in Calif. So good it's worth a flight and drive it back to MD. However, aren't the emission standards stricter in CA than the other 49 and does this effect performance?

No need to fly - do the deal over the internet / phone and arrange to have the car delivered to your local MB dealer or have transported across country. We have a new special order GL350 on order from MB Foothill Ranch in Orange Country CA for invoice which is about $6k off of sticker on a hard to find vehicle. The GM is arranging to have it delivered to our local MB dealer in SC. Transportation cost from SoCa to SC in an enclosed trailer was $1800. Still money ahead. No problems on emissions or taxes.

Based on the responses it seems that most of the heavy discounts is happening on the West Coast.
Curious as to what to expect in the East coast - in MD/DC/VA area to be specific. I'd hate to go in asking for a $15k (~25%) discount and loosing credebility right away. Any response from those with recent experience would be very helpful.

Yeah, VERY recent I would try to get better than $11k for sure. 12 might be hard, 13 would be pushing it. 15 I would be pretty surprised at.
